I remember talking to a furry, I asked them about the whole erotic scene and they were just like 'Bro. Do you know how much these suits cost? I'm not trying to get ANY bodily fluids anywhere near this thing'

I used to be a fur suit performer for Disney world and universal and I openly told people I was paid to be a full time furry.

There was this one time at our local con where a bunch of young adults threatened with a knife a 12YO LITTLE GIRL just because she was dressed in an animal costume... I'm not even kidding

I used to just shrug at furry hate and go along with the jokes. Then a furry convention got literally bombed and everyone made a joke out of it. That snapped me out of it. Wtf kind of hobby could possibly make bombing innocent people funny?

Though I’m not a furry myself, I’ve always found the absolute disdain for them weird as hell. Anthro animals are EVERYWHERE! Cereal mascots, Disney characters, children’s book illustrations, this isn’t a new phenomenon. But make them more colorful and create a community around them and n o w it’s weird? Honestly it looks like fun! Who doesn’t like colorful art and costumes and cute animals?

Gotta love the fact that he actually took the time to research this topic, instead of just watching cringe compilations and laughing or something, mad respect bro. I feel bad that furries are bullied so much over a hobby.

I worked at a Subway for awhile and it was very minimum wage and fucking annoying. Anyway, a girl who was a furry used to come in a lot. Her name was Karina. (She got an Buffalo chicken with every vegetable and extra sauce.) she was in her early twenties and she wore fox ears and a tail every time she came in. One day she came in with her full fur suit, though she took off the head so we could hear her, which was very nice. She explained that she was going to a convention that I was also planning on going to the next day. No one else was in line so we talked about how excited we were for it for a couple minutes. She was the nicest customer I have ever served in any job I’ve had. She also put five dollars in the tip jar as well as putting a 20% tip on her card every single time. She was lovely and I really hope she’s doing well.

I should start calling sports mascots "professional furries"

im not a furry but i am someone who overstimulates easily and i struggle to get through school days without these small, almost invisible hearing-blocks i put in my ears, which for some reason is seen as weird or cringe by some neurotypicals at my school. long story short, no matter what we do, neurodivergent people will never be fully accepted as non-cringe while still being comfortable, so do whatever u wanna do! live ya life yk

One time my sibling and I went to a convention and someone thought it'd be funny to pull the fire alarm. The whole building had to evacuate and it was mid November Cold. The cosplayers in revealing costumes started huddling, my sibby and I, along with other fully clothed cosplayers huddled around them. And then the outer ring of the huddle was a wall of furries forming a barrier around us. It was awesome, and they kept us all warm until we could go inside again.

The fact that most cringe compilations are people that sit on reddit 16 hours a day, making fun of people just trying to enjoy themselves is pretty telling

As a furry, i don’t enjoy having people telling me to kms online an in real life just because i like wearing an animal mask. I was out in my fur suit head and someone literally hit me when I was trick or treating with my 9 year old brother

Furry haters look up "Furry cringe" and scroll through images and are basically like "Bro all this stuff is cringe so that must mean all furries are cringe"
