I've had scammers rage while I redeemed gift cards in the past, but never while on a video chat. Now we can see the look of terror on their faces while we redeem. Props to Kraken for stepping up to fight back against scams. Their team has been great to work with and proud to be partnered with them.

I listened to the guy speaking my language “Igbo” in Nigeria. I just felt bad how we have gotten to this level. While most people are walking hard for their money, idiots like this are looking for a way to reap people off. Good thing you thought him a bitter lesson.

About 10 years ago this woman at my work came to my desk in secret with 5 $100 target gift cards, and said she needed to redeem them to “Agent Walker from the FBI” or get arrested within hours. I refused, told her it’s a scam and she was terrified for weeks that she would be taken away in cuffs in front of her kids.. for no charges. Thanks for turning the tables.

this is like watching an insane old lady give you a lift when you just robbed a bank, but she just ignores all your directions and starts reminiscing about the good old days whilst slowly careening off the edge of a cliff.

I overheard an older woman talking to a scammer in her car at a Walmart parking lot. I recognized the typical gift card scammer conversation because of channels like this and advised the lady to go home because it was a scam and to look for YouTube videos like this. I hope she is ok.
