Debra Harry was in her mid to late 30s at the time and every teen boy had her poster on his wall.

Debbie Harry is beautiful, talented, and so unique. No one else sounds like Blondie and the music holds up to this day.
  • @LaMonatrod
Clem Burke's drums are insane. Love it! You should listen to that whole album it is hypnotizing. It's their best.
  • @Hartlor_Tayley
Back in 78 Deborah shook her head onstage spraying me with her sweat. I haven’t taken a shower since.
  • @jefmay3053
" I need more Debbie in my life." We all felt that way bro .
  • @mthraves
Clem Burke does about 10 minutes worth of drumming in a 3 minute song!
  • @HBLUCAS
Hypnotizing is a perfect assessment of her vocals. I was a 70’s hard rock boy. Blondiie and the Cars reminded me that there was something else out there.
  • Debbie Harry's voice has always had that amazing ethereal sound while also totally rocking. There's no one like her.

Dude I love how you completely “get” this band and understand what makes them magical. I think you need to do a Blondie album deep dive, starting with Parallel Lines and Eat to the Beat.

I met Debbie once at a Meet & Greet! Oh I must say since I was like 13 I called her GODDESS. Anyway ...she walks in, I am bowing to her, she walks over and says Get up, I'm not the Queen. I say jo your not but your the princess of Punk..then got a hug.
  • @gary6754
one of the best drumming performances on a rock song

I saw Blondie live in Glasgow, Scotland, New Year's Eve 1979 - I was 16 and it was the last night of the 70s. 30 years later I organised a shoot for a UK glossy magazine and finally met her.

My sister bought this album. I was like 10 at the time. We played it over and over. Clem Burke is such an underrated drummer.
  • @rhondafonda957
Love Blondie!!! Clem is one hell of a drummer!!! 👏👏👏
  • @bearballin
"Dreaming" is undeniably my fave song by Blondie! You're right to point out the hypnotic, mesmerizing sounds of Debbie's vocals. And Clem Burke's thunderous drumming is insane! Highly recommend the following tracks that'll give you more of that pop punk sound; The Hardest Part, Atomic, Hanging on the Telephone, One Way or Another, Screaming Skin and Accidents Never Happen!

Blondie is incredible, and Debbie Harry is one of the greatest vocalists and frontpersons in rock/punk history. She's amazing.

I consider this to be the "peak Blondie" song. Their style on their 1st 2 albums was basically punk, with a few pop songs. Parallel Lines, their 3rd, was pretty much that too, with the experimental Disco track "Heart of Glass", but the punk & pop songs were still very separate. With THIS album, their 4th (Eat to the Beat), they perfectly blended the 2 together, and on song after song after song, it just blew me away; the energy level, the polish. It is one of those albums you buy, and just let the needle ride all the way through, waiting to have to skip a "bad song", and not finding any. Blondie's peak, their unique style perfected, right here.
