Debby's a phenomenal singer who's vocal powers aren't discussed enough. She's also one of the greatest things ever on the planet Earth.

Perhaps, not surprising that Debbie Harry made Pete Townshend's list of 5 authentic rock stars. Great band. Love that you selected this performance. Clem Burke is such a fantastic drummer, and Debbie is an icon.

It's refreshing to hear someone as bright as Fil and he's speaking about Debbie Harry's stunning vocal gymnastics. Usually, comments will be all about her hotness.

Damn! Clem Burke just kills it. I love the drums in most songs but especially in Blondie songs. He is a non stop drum machine. I really appreciate the analysis of Debbie Harry's vocals. She has been a fave of mine for years and she got a lot of flack for her vocals not being that great. She was never punk and she was never off. Her vocals were bang on.

It’s not often you see YouTube creator have the class to actually take the time to honour a request...thanks Fil
  • This song is Amazing! Clem Burke drives the entire song, throughout! Clem was Premier Drums top endorser, after the passing of Keith Moon. Dreaming, just has that perfect lilt, and is very infectious.

Band in it's prime. Man, those four 70s albums are just tremendous.
  • Debbie is without doubt an all time classic beauty. Blondie is without doubt an all time classic band.

Crazy to criticize her for expanding her horizons. Her #1 song 'Rapture' was the first rap song to chart.

Imagine what a producer would try to do to Debby Harry's voice today. No matter how good and tight the band, or gorgeous voice, you gotta have a great song. Blondie had some great songs. Literate enough to rhyme with verite

Nostalgia....I always liked Clem Burke's drumming...
  • @bsjeffrey
i got exhausted just watching the drums.
  • I’ve seen Blondie live so many times over the years, they are always tight and sound great. Clem still drums with amazing energy. Debbie is still a goddess.

Pop, rock, punk, dance, glam, all wrapped into one.....just saw them last year. Still rocking....and she’s trying to save the bees.....

I love when Fil breaks out a guitar! Blondie was one of my favorite groups in college. Fun, happy memories!!

This is my favorite song by Blondie. I love Clem Burke's drums on this one, including the studio version. A big regret of mine is showing up late to the venue and missing Blondie opening for the Kinks in around 1978. The Kinks were great, but I subsequently became a fan of Blondie and thus hated missing them.

I won The Blondie Album "Eat to The Beat" from a radio station back in 1979. Great Album!

'79 grad here, and this has been one of my all time favourites (like THAT spelling?) since then. That DRUMMER! Has there EVER been a more frenetic drummer or performance, as that? Thank you, Fil!
