LIVE: "Blood All Over", Trump Recalls Assassination Bid | Vantage with Palki Sharma

Donald Trump started his nomination acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention on a personal note. He recalled the attempt on his life at a campaign rally last weekend. Trump shared how he escaped from the stage and how the Secret Service team protected him following the assassination attempt. He called for unity among the Americans, saying, "Just like our ancestors, we must now come together. Rise above past differences". Though, soon after, Trump unleashed his usual talking points, including unverified policy claims.

After the speech, Trump's family, including his wife Melania, gathered on stage for a powerful display of unity. Trump also paid tribute to Corey Comperator, the fireman who lost his life during the attack on Trump. As Trump was welcomed with loud cheers at the RNC, one thing was clear, he has left the baggage of his criminal trials and convictions behind. It is only his presumed rival, Joe Biden, who faces questions and doubts. On Vantage tonight, Palki Sharma tells you more.

The Riots in Leads, UK were done by Pakistani Muslim Immigrants. Palki is rightly concerned with the Tweet stating, "Sub-Continent", but Pakistan is part of Sub-continent. The tweet is genuine. If your channel has a policy to avoid the key terms viz. Pakistan, Muslims etc. it is not UK's problems. But yours Palki!!!

I saw a grave and moving movie the other day about a female police officer called "Santosh". Life can be very hard on outcast and modest people everywhere in the world but terribly so in India as shows this dramatic story that brought me tears 😢. Wish I could help somehow...

I am working from home and I always watch this news in the background while I work. It's just really different when I listen to Palki as a news anchor. The way she delivers the news like interacting with the audience.
