  • To pull off that performance in just one take is seriously impressive. She killed it! ⚡ You can play along with this and many other Rage Against The Machine songs inside Drumeo - Click on the link to get started: www.drumeo.com/trial.

She hits hard and hit the snare like it owed her rent money. Great take. Glad this series continues.
  • "I'm not the type of drummer who can just hear a song and make a drum part" the. Proceeds to absolutely nail it in one take after 1 listen
  • I've never heard of Jess, but as a drummer, nothing but respect. She heard the track only once, took no notes and went for it. That takes an enormous amount of confidence and she killed it. She's very talented. I'm a fan now.
  • @Zuflux
She 100% did that justice. That was an inspired take on a classic. Well done!
  • @BJSmithmd
i love how aggressively she plays the drums, especially for a song like this. She killed it. Amazing.
  • I have no idea how Drumeo ended up in my feed, but I'm so glad! It started with Chad Smith, and has been a blast getting these. I am not a musician, so I am in awe of each person's technical variability, but the creativity is everything in this series. Individual creativity for professionals is fun to watch. Exceptional video!!

Jess talking: sweet baby lamb Jess drumming: absolute beast Amazing job!!
  • “I’m sorry I didn’t do it justice” IMO you DEFINITELY did it justice. That song deserves that energy. There are times it could have breathed a little more but I loved it the whole way through and it’s that energy.
  • It always surprises me how much work the cymbals do, and you don't notice until you hear the drumless track.
  • YO SHE FUCKING KILLED IT. Keep this format going, please. It is one of my favorite things on youtube rn
  • @SSGregory
As a bassist I seriously appreciate the simplicity at the root of her playing and her accents are SO GOOD and she hits SO HARD. Love it.
  • @wardog77
for a drummer that's nervous about playing metal, she hits that cymbal like it stole her grandma's purse.
  • @thechris86
That kit sounds so good. She was so on-point with that first take - totally nailed the feel of the song and interpreted extremely well. Yeah the part is more straight forward than what she put down but I think it could have been a solid representation of what that song might have been like if it were recording in the last few years. Anyways, loved it - these segments are why I follow Drumeo.

Having never heard of Jess before I have to say she was the perfect person for you to choose to play this song as she just has so much energy and hits the drums so hard which is a perfect match for rage songs please never stop making these videos
  • This literally filled me with tears of joy when she started playing. She was simply enjoying herself while playing the song without any prior knowledge of the drumming, and witnessing her improvise on the drums brought me immense happiness. 🥲❤
  • @davidray6962
Her high-hat work is freaking amazing. A lot of people get sloppy with the tempo and whether the high-hat is open or closed, but she was not just controlled but absolutely precise.
  • Holy Jesus she's good. She drums with finesse and power and she hits them like she means it. As a bass player I'd be stoked if there were more drummers that played like she does
  • As a drummer the reason I love this series is because it shows what really gets you work and that’s playing for the song and not yourself.
