Cops will immediately say , it’s a civil matter . And do absolutely nothing!😞

One way to protect yourself is to use a pen with a SPECIAL INK that prevents thieves from washing it off the check. The pen you want to get is "UNIBALL Signo" gel pen. The best thing to do is to not use checks at all.

If you have to write a check always use a gel pen. The ink can't be washed. Also you can deposit checks online. Your bank should have an app for electronic deposit.

The problem is judicial system screwed up. Criminals are lightly punished. You don't see these U.S. problems in China, Japan or Singapore.

Yes sir I’m dropping on a Navy as we speak

Banks act like it's out of their control even though every check theoretically passes through their hands.
  • this is nonsense. why aren't the US post office blue boxes safe. this happened to me and the post office said never put mail in the blue box.

Besides employers, who even writes checks anymore?

About the current bank situation, I'm really concerned. I am worried about a lot more if a bank the size of SVB may fail. I have a friend who manages a fast-growing startup and was severely impacted by the bank run. I have taken more than $840k out of my bank. Since the FDIC only provides coverage up to $250K, an implosion could have negative consequences. presently want to invest in the stock market. Does anyone have any ideas on how I might proceed?
  • You don't need to go into a bank to deposit checks and cash checks, it all can be done at the drive-thru's. Nor do they need real checks to modify, counterfeits work just as well. There's 1001 ways since colonial days they pull this off.

There is no need to use paper checks anymore, need to educate people on the alternatives.

Time to increase the penalties for all persons involved in these crimes and require mandatory minimum sentences.

I rarely write checks anymore and therefore rarely order checks too. My bank is small so if someone tries to cash a fraudulent $10k check at one of the branches, they won’t be able to get the money for a day or 2.
