A classic French method of cooking carrots on the stovetop in one pan. The carrots cook in water and butter until the liquid has all but evaporated and results in perfectly tender carrots with a glossy buttery coating. Parsley brings bright fresh aromatics and a twist of black pepper and sea salt finishes this simple and splendid side dish.

  • I love this way of cooking carrots and have done it for years. It will make any carrot haters out there joyfully munch carrots at your dinner table. It is also a great way to cook sweet potatoes slices, it just takes a bit more time and more water.

    I follow this method except I use hot sriracha infused honey and add finely diced garlic to the carrots. Very nice ❤

  • I've made almost the exact same dish, except I threw in chopped dried dates and no sugar. The dates had enough sugar in them, and that my friend is an amazing dish.

    Sugar and honey is overkill. You are tasting the sweetness of the sugar and honey, the carrot's sweetness will be drowned out.
