The California Air Tools Ultra Quiet, Oil-Free Dry Air Compressors are designed for many applications including Dental Offices and Milling Machines.

California Air Tools offers two series of air dryer air compressors:

1. Ultra Dry Air Compressors - 98% Dry Air (ISO 8573)
2. Standard Dry Air Compressors - 80% Dry Air.

To operate (1) each Dental Handpiece, you need 1.0 Hp.
To operate (1) each Milling Machine, you will normally need either a 2 hp, 4 hp, 5 hp or 6 hp model depending on l/min or cfm, PSI (.MPa) air volume and hourly run times*

Dry Air Compressor Selection Guidelines:

1 hp compressor models: milling machine req. 0.3-1 cfm continuous (9-25 liters per minute, l/min) @90 PSI

2 hp compressor models: milling machine req. 0.5-2 cfm continuous (10-55 l/min) @90 PSI

4 hp compressor models: milling machine req. 2-4 cfm continuous (56-110 l/min) @90 PSI

5 hp & 6 hp compressor models: milling machine req. 4-7 cfm continuous (112-180 l/min) @90 PSI

* .3MPa = 45psi, .5MPa = 72psi, .7MPa = 101psi

California Air Tools 10020DCAD or 10020DSPCAD can support up to 2 cfm of air draw (57 liters per minute) for up to a 1-2 hours at a time (maximum cfm / time), if more cfm of air is required or for longer periods of time then the larger 4 hp model, 20040DCAD, 60040DCAD, 20040DCADC, 60040DCADC or 20040DSPCAD is suggested as these models can maintain 4-5 cfm for up to 7-8 hours/day. If more than 5 cfm is required for more than 7-8 hours/day, then a 6 hp model like the 20060DCC would be required.

The California Air Tools 80% Air Dyer is specially designed to remove the water vapor from the air to protect sensitive tools and machinery. To dry the air from the air compressor an Aftercooler and Air Dryer are utilized.
