  • "Life is full of dead ends. One day you'll run into your own..." That line hit harder than it should have

Lord have Mercy I need to make a lore video. Why is indie animation so much better than mainstream, why isn't mainstream making this?

MY JAW ABSOLUTELY DROPPED WHEN DREAM SWEET IN SEA MAJOR STARTED PLAYING OMG
  • @akaLiiL
"Introduction to the Snow" legitimately made me cry at the end, i used to hear it a lot and it brings me lots of good memories, caught me totally off guard.

A mystery-focused show with calming port city aesthetics, likeable and well defined characters, a mythology that is interesting but doesn't feel shoehorned and beautifully sung and composed classical music? Yeah, I'd watch the crap out of this.
  • @k41en
At first it was just "it's cute, I like it" but then MIRACLE MUSICAL!!?!?!? DREAM SWEET IN SEA MAJOR!?!?!? Like c'mon man, I love this.
  • @DensenbyoOFFC
How did this not become the next most popular indie cartoon yet? It's literally so good I'm obsessed 😭

With this, lackadaisy, god speed, glitch production's and their animated series's, and all the other animations on YouTube, we are entering a golden age of YouTube shows and animations
  • "This is merely a fable though and surely has no bearing on the events to follow..." Genius line
  • @xian_hawk4689
THE WAY MY JAW DROPPED WHEN IT STARTED PLAYING DREAM SWEET IN SEA MAJOR I LOVE THIS SO MUCH I CANT WAIT!
  • "Introduction to snow" just popping out of nowhere scared the hell out of me lol. One of the last things I'd have expected in Indie animation, just Miracle Musical happening
  • @JaiyanNaveed
12:14 "Sorry to waste the time you have left" Such a good line man! Perfectly portrays the graveskeeper's nihilistic personality.

Seeing how many indie cartoons started appearing on youtube in the last few years really warms my heart. Hazbin Hotel & Helluva Boss, Lackadaisy, TheAmazingDigitalCircus, Underverse, Ramshackle, TheEarthGuy, Godspeed, Atlas and the Stars, and now THIS! I'm telling you guys right now, this is the future of the shows, artists deserve to have their creative freedom, and indie projects are a key to that. I'm already invested in the plot, keep it up!

"i can't believe you're arguing about physics and you barely even passed math" lmfaooo the background convos in indie animation are always so funnyyyy
  • @37thraven
I love how in game-like/fictional worlds 5:24 characters react like this "Oh! Unexpected guests!" While in reality, it'd be more like "Who the hell are you?! Get out of my house! I'm armed/Calling the police" :') Beautiful show. And necessary, to quickly introduce Port & Umi to the inventor

I WAS NOT EXPECTING THE SONG BEFORE THE CREDITS OH MY i need more of these two 😭
  • @flyignpig4365
If this was a normal first episode I would complain about the pacing, but as a pilot it sets up the theme and feel for an eventual show. The animation was also super cute and really fluid in some parts. I can tell this was ambitious and I wish the show and everyone who work on it the best of luck.
  • @MoonhaloVR
at this rate, i'm never gonna run out of amazing shows to watch
