I went to the Netherlands in December 2017 for work from Bangalore. I was only there for a week. On the day I was supposed to leave, there was this unexpected heavy snowfall that stopped all the public transport. The whole city went into panic mode, with everyone trying to get home as quickly as possible in their own cars. As an outsider relying entirely on public transport and without a cell phone, I had to walk from HTC to the city center through four feet of snow, completely soaked, and no one offered me a ride. In Bangalore, even if there’s a curfew, some random stranger will help you get home safely. Edit: I'm not trying to show the Netherlands in a bad light—people there are generally helpful. But when things go wrong, they panic quickly, and it becomes every man for himself. Before leaving, I went to a local bar, and the bartender asked how my experience in the Netherlands had been so far. I told him this story, and he apologized that I had to go through that and offered me a free beer.
  • I am Indian living in Germany since 3.5 years. Trust me, they treat you here as if you are a distant relative of the jews.
  • @rashmikiran4602
I love the fact that he kept saying " We" n not just " they" while referring to us Indian. He felt so like a person belongings with us n not like someone who was born in an another country n moved here. ❤ love that about him.

In India we don't have stray dogs. We have community dogs. Dogs that have evolved with humans for thousands of years. It's impossible to imagine an Indian village without community animals - 'stray' is a western concept. It is the west that has gone 'astray' not us.

A foreigner explains how foreigners experience in india.... That is our philosophy do not talk about yourself let the people do it themselves 🙏
  • As a Singaporean of Indian (Punjabi) descent, this guy has really opened my mind to a whole new perspective of India. Growing up in Singapore, or any other country I guess, you get used to hearing a lot of misinformation and crap about India. Thanks Paul, I look forward to taking a trip there sometime. PS: That monthly rent he mentioned would basically buy me dinner at a mid-tier restaurant in Singapore.

The Indian subcontinent was divided on the basis of religion primary Hindu and Muslim. Muslims don't want to live with hindus in the same country so India was partitioned between muslim majority Pakistan and Hindu majority India after that so many muslims choose to live in India and so many times complaint about it after dividing India and formed their seperate Islamic nation Pakistan. So that's the whole story by the way A person (Dr.BABASAHAB AMBEDKAR, belongs to a lower cast)who wrote THE CONSTITUTION of India said I BORN AS HINDU DOESN'T DIED AS ONE. And afterwards writes the constitution of India and in France a newspaper published a carton of PROPHET MOHAMMAD and some Islamist beheaded those poor people. I hope these stories gives you the better understanding about which religion is tolerant, more free, believe in coexistence and which is not

This man is a free spirit ! Love that about him! I am a 46 year old Indian woman who has lived more than 40 years of her life outside India. Lived in USA, France and Indonesia. Now living in Chennai, India for past two years. I will use the same words he uses …. India is the country where I feel most alive and most free ! So many reasons … yet hard to pinpoint also sometimes. Definitely a palpable spirituality here which contributes to the feeling of being alive. Whenever I go to a different country now … I miss India after a few days .. it is almost like a physical ache. I long to be back here !

7.5k is cheap by any standards I must say. Maybe because it's away from the centre.
  • @supernerd8527
That rent is cheap but its a dangerous situation to live in a place filled with concrete everywhere. No empty grounds, trees, lawns are left by the town planning department (if one exists). The water scarcity now experienced by Bangaloreans is the result of rapid urbanization in the past 15 years. Lakes were not spared by the land Mafia. All Indian cities are preparing themselves to fail and it is very sad to see.
  • @Happyabdul109
From Bangalore, with love. Im just happy to see this.
  • @GarudAtma
My ideal world would be, that I want to keep my culture as same as it is now and somehow reduce the population
