The encampments built by pro-Palestinian protesters on Columbia University's campus are gone, but the outrage from both sides is not. Meanwhile, City Hall has blamed the chaotic campus protests on what they call "outside agitators" influencing students. CBS New York had team coverage with Lisa Rozner and Tim McNicholas.

  • Get the non-citizens out and put the Americans through the legal system if they've been breaking any laws.
  • Mediating with terrorist sympathisers did not seem to work. I wonder why?
  • Remember, the focus on these 'protests'keeps people from watching what is really important
  • Put the Professor's in Jail Too. They generate this Madness.
  • Despicable behavior displayed. Strip away any loan forgiveness, public funding to universities. Enough already.
  • How did the outsiders get in? All students have had to show an ID to get on campus before the building was occupied. The staff and students aided them is most likely.
  • There is no such thing as a right to protest. 1st Amendment: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances." Peaceably to assemble in a public forum is a right subject to time, place and manner restrictions. There is no such right granted in limited public forums or upon private property.
  • 2 million palestinians..according to hamas 34 000 killed, According to Israel 14.000 of them hamas. This guy is talking about students in America ( how? they are supposed to be so poor and oppressed and living in a prison they can't get out of) who "lost 20 family members in gaza"..the math seems obvious to me. So yeah, I believe him when he says they are riling up and misinforming these students. That said ...students miserably failing at doing any rational research whatsoever for themselves ..THAT I think goes to their parents, their teachers and they themselves. My sympathy is...0%

Let me guess. Released with no bail, they got an apology, and they received a free dinner.
  • Having hundreds of people in a tense situation (like at Columbia University) is highly likely to result in violence. School administrators needed to disperse the protest. Once people begin breaking windows, threatening people, and hitting police, it is no longer a peaceful protest. If the students were sitting on the grass, holding hands, and singing folk songs, the police would not be needed.
  • The teachers are outraged, but not at thier students for laying siege to a building. They mad they wouldn't let the teachers talk to them, but They are the ones filling thier heads with this nonsense.
  • They all need to be held accountable and they all need to pay for the damages.

State sponsored chaos, just in time for the elections :)
