Sorry but there will never be another Rihanna. Her catalogue and star power is unmatched.

You say that Tyla saying she wants to be on RiRi's level and surpass her is too ambitious but they doubted and laughed at RiRi too when she first started out but look where's she at. There's nothing wrong with saying you want to reach a certain person's level of success and even surpass them. There's a quote that Michael Jackson said that he himself accomplished by surpassing James Brown, his inspiration, that I will forver live by that strongly pertains to this situation: "Study the greats and become greater."

Tyla has undergone media training for sure. She’s naming the artists her team wants us to associate her with. Aaliyah inspiring her doesn’t even make much sense and she never elaborates on it. You’re not inspired by any South African artists? Real sus

Tyla came out with her hit song water but Riri ain't threatened because she has an umbrella.

She never said she wanted to be greater than her in a negative sense. She wants to be like her, but in her own way
  • The one thing i hate is whenever new artists come out people automatically start trying to compare them to established artists. Every black female artist doesnt want to be Beyonce, Rihanna or Nicki Minaj. Just enjoy the music and let the artist forge their own path 💯

Rihanna is a billionaire, nothing wrong with being ambitious 😂😂🤦🏽‍♀️

I like Tyla but it’s CLEAR there’s an agenda to replace Rihanna even her team is running with it. Let her be herself, she’ll NEVER be Rihanna.

No one can be too ambitious and she didn't say she wanted to be like Rihanna She said she admires her and wants to be at her level and maybe surpass her. Y'all hear what y'all want to hear

Tyla said she wants to be in the status of Rihanna. Nothing wrong with that. She's young and she looks up to her. Not trying to imitate her.

Chloe and Halle need to get back together. Their last album was phenomenal.

I am probably gonna get a lot of flack for this. But I think that Tyla is a TikTok girly. And whether anybody agrees with this or not, the biggest thing that makes most TikTok celebrities is their looks and sex appeal. You can even in the side-by-side in this video Tyla does a lot of that. it might just be also be a generations type of thing but I think that Rihanna wasn't JUST "I'm a pretty girl" (although everyone else kind of placed that on her). It was the marketing of her as a "Femme Fatale" archetype which took a long time to refine that lane but also fit her personality really well. I won't say that Tyla doesn't remind me of Rihanna when she first started out. She is going to need a team behind her a to make sure she's not just this one note "look how pretty I am" marketing thats happening.

The problem with Chloe is she needs her own persona. She came out as Beyonce mini me is how she was marketed
  • Lizzo should rebrand and take the approach of Adelle. Adelle didnt come out clowning. She came out with powerful and strong vocals. And the world respected her for it, even though she was big.

Every new light skinned girl is compared to Rihanna... Before Rihanna any new light skinned girl was compared to Beyonce. Can we stop that at some point smh

I’m tired of the same look in the music industry, light skin, curly hair and being racially ambiguous.
