I am assuming that this was released before ChatGPT. GPT4 already passes the turing test in many areas. (your estimate was 2030). AI Powered NPC's have already been shown off in prototype mods for skyrim which tie into LLM's for voice dialog and animations (your estimate was 2050) Its 2023. Damn things are moving rapidly

A good option in the short-term, might be to create not AI robots, but an AI consultant intelligence that advises human workers on how to be more efficient, to get the benefits of the technology, but without everyone losing their jobs.
