Imagine if he read children's books for audible .
  • I met phil for the first time in the back parking lot of a club in nashville after I got kicked out of the show due to bleeding during haarp and before arson anthem, and I was drunk as a sailor. He was talking to the bass player for hank 3 at the time. I stumbled up to him and said "Phil, my favorite song of all time is 25 years". Then he started singing the song in front of me and then his body guard bandaged my head up and got me back in the show

Apparently girls talk in a higher pitch to someone they like Girls talking to me:

You would never expect this guy to have such good clean singing vocals.

"If a black hole could talk he would have the voice of Phil Anselmo." -Stephen Hawking
  • There needs to be a full series just called "Story Time with Phil Anselmo"
  • Phil: "i only burnt a great portion of the house down" Female Pantera fans: "Aw, what a softie"

Time literally slows down when Phil is talking.
  • Phil : (starts talking about house burning down) Me : (Starts reading comments for 3 hours) Phil : (Still talking about burning his house down)

I think I understand Phil better now. His tough-guy "I'll punch you" thing is really just his version of male-bonding. It's not meant to be taken literally. It's what he says to people he likes. If he doesn't like you and you piss him off, he won't be joking about it at all. You can tell that he's just being silly by how the interviewer responds so casually; they've likely had a private chat before the interview and the interviewer has read Phil and his mannerisms in the proper light. Cool.

How in the Hell did this dude pull off all of those high pitched vocals on Power Metal? He sounds like he has five balls.

Interviewer "at the age of 15, you started a fire to scare your sister, but you burned down the house" Phil "..." "I was 14"
  • @DetVen
Phil can start a lawn mower engine with just the sound of his voice.

Holy shit, that made me smile so much when Phil randomly started cracking Grahams fingers when he was reading... Wow 😂 My Dad used to do that exact same thing and other stupid shit similar to that when I was sitting next to him, like randomly start making karate noises and start play fighting me or my brother out of nowhere hahah. I started working out religiously when I was in my teens and even in my mid 20s I never felt anywhere near as strong as he was. Hell, even a few months before cancer took him and he was just skin and bone, he could still squeeze my hand so hard it felt like he could break it. He was the epitome of dad strength hahah, god damn I miss him.
