The reason why I like this channel and how it differs from other athletics themed channels is because you give credit also for field events as well. Many athletics themed channels are mainly based on track events. Athletics is track and field, not only track.

Thank you so much for actually showing the events you're actually talking about...unlike TRP.
  • Best track channel in the business. No bullshit, no filler, (no videos about a woman running 51.5 because she's a name people know) just the stuff you wanna see.

Back in 1978 my college (Calif State University Long Beach) sponsored a 'field events only' track meet that used to attract some national talent, both open and collegiate competitors. One year when I was there John Powell (USA) launched the discus about 2 inches/5cm beyond the old world record. That's the first and only time I've seen a T&F world record be set. Pretty cool to see that at a local meet.
  • This channel covers so much content weekly. You gotta be one of the best to do it man
  • It is so excited to see so many athletes doing so great already. I think this olympics will be the best athletics olympics we will see. All the sprints (men and women) will be really awesome and anticipated. The discus is in a new era?? The rivalry in the distance. The young prodigies being developed. I really like where this is going this year! And it is even more excited that jump man will make a video every week to cover all these great stories. You did a great job as always!
  • The BEST intro you will ever do! Just a fine work of art Jumpman. You are hilarious!
  • Shaunae running a 49.60 4x4 split to walk down both Abby & Alexis Holmes went relatively uncovered this wkend! Great to see the s/o for Arkansas's Rachel Glenn cos her versatility this year has been ridiculous (HJ, 200m, 60mH, 400mH & 4x4), hope it doesn't get in the way of her making the Olympic HJ Team. 2:08; Yeah Favour Ofili 22.33 (1.4) officially has the 3rd fastest wind-legal 200m of the year behind Gabby's 22.08 (1.2) & Tamara's 22.21 (1.2), great to see her back to her '22 form! Long been known that if you need great marks as a Sprinter you go to La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland; as a Distance Runner you go to Valencia, Spain; as a Jumper you go to Chula Vista, California; and now as a Thrower you gotta get yourself over to Ramona, Oklahoma :) 8:28; Yaime Perez's 73.09m was the longest women's discus throw since 1989!
  • I’ve jumped against mason mcgroder several times and that guy is a complete animal. I remember my club came 2nd in a long jump relay to his because even though everyone on our team jumped further than 3/4 of their jumpers he jumped 1.5m further than the rest of us 😂
  • @CalebdoksGAC
I love the slight jabs and jokes in your commentary
  • @cattycats4
great video, looked a hell of a windy day on the discus records though? you could see the cage flapping about all over the shop and the audio is even distorted because of the wind. I hope they stand as records because both are an incredible distance under any conditions. that 10.77 was a wake up call to the rest! what a year it might be
  • @espinozapy
Please keep the weekly news coming. You're gonna grow alot and aid to make T&F more exciting! GREAT CHANNEL!
  • Just found your channel and your videos are incredible! Instantly subscribed, can't wait to see more of your commentary for the season

I don't know what Alekna's dad has had him doing but I need the routine, he's an absolute beast. Especially considering he's 21. The talent is phenomenal, and I really hope that when he gets older he has kids to carry on his legacy. A 3rd generation discus thrower from the Alekna line would be epic. Seeing this (when I should be doing homework but I digress) is so inspiring. I'm genuinely more excited to see him throw again than for summer after finals. Thanks for the video Jumpman, you've got some great analysis and commentary here. Much love!
  • All I have to say is 🔥 as usual. Can’t get enough of your weekly uploads man. It’ll be even better when the diamond leagues start happening (soon, might I add). Apparently, on the same day as the Xiamen diamond league meeting, in Africa somewhere, Tebogo is running in the 200m again (I don’t have 100% proof of this, but I heard he was). Can’t wait for next week’s video, the kiwi GOAT!
  • @Comeoffitman
I like you’re channel cause you talk about that off the race and off make times and it field events on of the events!!
  • Best track and field news channel I've ever seen. Please keep it up if you can.
