"I have cerebral palsy. I shake all the time," Maysoon Zayid announces at the beginning of this exhilarating, hilarious talk. (Really, it's hilarious.) "I'm like Shakira meets Muhammad Ali." With grace and wit, the Arab-American comedian takes us on a whistle-stop tour of her adventures as an actress, stand-up comic, philanthropist and advocate for the disabled.

I loved her opening "I'm not drunk, but the doctor who delivered me was."

Can we just take a few moments to appreciate how great her parents are? They seemed to treat her the exact same as any other child. I would have wanted that.
  • She is a liar: she told us that her story won’t inspire us and look at us completely inspired and amazed by this beautiful woman. My respect and admiration for you Maysoon! 👏👏👏👏

This girl is funny, confident and smart. I really like her! And on top of that, representing people with cp and an ethnic minority in the western culture in such a positive way - it makes me love her!

Shes right about one thing.  Humans on the internet are real scumbags.  She's a beautiful, funny lady.

when she said "if the internet were around when she was growing up, she wouldn't have turned out the way she did", I had to force myself from crying...............because it's true.

She's beautiful, glad she's using comedy to help deal with her pain. I wish more people would respect people with disabilities, it's not they're fault that they're disabled.
