Checking the garden Tarantulas following a heavy rain event in central Australia. Selenocosmia Stirlingi or locally known as a whistling Spider is common in central Australia where it digs a deep burrow in loamy soil to create a cool, moist environment where they live up to 30 years. Recent rains can flood the burrows thus displacing the gentle giants which pack their swags and seek shelter inside peoples homes.
