What I love about this is that chickpeas are dirt cheap, last forever and are healthy.

JUST took these out of the oven. I couldn't decide which two spices to use, so I used Zaatar, Sumac, Cumin, Paprika, and Garlic powder. Not only did the house smell divine on this cold winter day, they tasted incredible!

Just mix them together in a bowl and spread them out on the sheet pan. That way the spices and oil are evenly coated. I have created about 30ish different versions of crunchy chickpeas over the last 15 years. Trust me: mix before, then put on the sheet pan. Alternately, you can put the dried chickpeas into a ziplock bag, pour the oil and spices over them, then mix in the bag before putting on the pan to roast. Also works great in an air fryer (Or so I've been told. I don't have one).

As with so many of your recipes, they turn out really well and are easy to make. And it's so nice that you present options with the seasoning.

Such an easy and delicious snack recipe with most of the ingredients in the cupboard already! Love it 😍
  • I wanna try a lemon pepper. And a Cajun rub spice. Yum. I just bought a couple cans and can't wait to try this. Plus my olive oil is garlic infused mmmm.... I love that I could hear the crunch of the chickpea when she ate it. That was my main concern like...do they really get crispy and clearly they do! Yay! Roasted chickpeas for the win. Can't wait to try this.

I've roasted them before many times but was looking for a refresher video and my gosh this was so fun and nice to watch and love the options of spices you present :) Off to make a batch, think Za'atar and Sumac will be first :)
