My 13 year old son wanted a green cheek, which was okay with me. Now he’s 32, and is long gone. Fortunately, I love my 19 year sweet birdie girl, pay tons of money for her upkeep, she has a cockatoo sized cage, gets attention, etc... Things don’t always turn out that way. Great video!!

I’m only 10 years old and I got a sun conure without knowing anything about them, then i started doing research and now my bird is super healthy and he has a huge cage! My only problem is, is that my parents don’t wanna buy toys so I just make them with the supplies I have at home!

me: has 4 flighted birds, buys new toys for them every other week (50 bucks in total)*. also me: hmmm how to convince my parents to let me have birds? *clicks
  • Before this I really wanted a bird and now I feel like my parents definitely won’t. Thank you for helping though. 😔

I’m in high school too, so my parents have spent a lot of money on the birds, so thank god they are animal lovers! They love our birds!
  • My mom actually asked me if I wanted a bird and we might be getting one tommorow, and I have been doing soo much reaserch on them and love your channel thank you :)

My mom would never spend more than fifty bucks on a pet, so it's best that I just wait until university.

Please don’t buy a bird without researching thoroughly! I know it might be tempting to get a bird because they’re adorable and “easy” but they need lots of care, time, energy, toys, big cage, etc to live a long, happy life. Do you have the space? Can you handle mess? Do you know proper diet and emergency procedures? It’s a huge commitment, so please take care of your bird if you decide to get one💕

Beautiful video! Awesome birds you have 🤗
  • @angenibizi1235
I'm to scared to ask my parents so I don't even know why I spent months of research lol
  • I agree with literally everything in this video. I am 14 years old and ive been wanting a bird for 3-4 years and havent stopped the research. I have a full binder full of my papers of research. I finally get to go pick up my first bird in two weeks!! I got a green cheek conure and im naming it kermit:)<3

I am 12 years old and, I took initiative by saving up, it used to be a little bit of money but I got $476 in total, I researched all the time and impressed my parents, I even convinced them to let me get one! I got 2 cocktails that live happily in a beautiful flight cage with a good diet! My bird honey was really scared of us, my sister basically gave up on her, but i didn’t, I loved her and will never give up! Honey is now in my hair, probably making it harder to brush, but it doesn’t matter because I love her. A lot of guests usually come over so they socialize enough with people. Now my parents and sister are bird lovers and even go spend their own money on toys and millets! So I feel like as long as you are committed and and ready for everything, so I don’t think that it works for everything, but, as you get older, you just might just get more qualified for owning a bird. Thank you for your time. Edit: I forgot to mention I got a second flight cage for Sushi, a grey cocktail, he likes cuddles and somehow started stepping on my finger within the first few days we got him! I wouldn’t give my birds for anything, I might even value them over my own life.

My mom said I can get a bird if I pay the vet bills, I’m hoping I can pay for everything to prove myself. A big help was your amazon influencers thingy
  • @droppedyt1277
Me: who is a introvert My parents support it Me: well it looks like the stars are Alining
  • @user-cn4se7ui6j
I’m paying for the bird, cage, and toys also my mom likes birds so I hope I can get on and if I do, I will give it all of the things they need. ❤️And I did sooo much research
  • I have 12 birds and I still go to school. My mom didn’t want one until I showed her that I can be responsible. And now she loves them and she still gets spooked but she supports me!
  • @maddyandjay4507
I got my first parakeet (angel) when I was 9 too! I’m only 11 now but she’s still my first bird. I have another budgie sunny and a parrotlet dusty!
  • @icedtea396
I’ve wanted a cockatiel for so long and it’s killing me, but I know I don’t have the right lifestyle and if I got a cockatiel it would only harm the bird
  • @4redwingos
The perks of being an introvert are FINNALY shining As soon as I convince my mom that birds are cool and need love, I will spend as much time as I can with them.
