  • @hydronimity
thank you for this Scarlet and Violet survival guide!
  • I was dying laughing when he said he would eat miltank so he could enjoy it’s demise
  • Mikey: “Psyduck is too small.” Psyduck: Is casually almost twice the size, and 20x the weight of a normal duck.
  • So let's see here, trying to put multiple items into one meal... Chansey eggs, probably scambled with Miltank milk. Piloswine bacon. Petilil tea. Tropius fruit on the side. We have the makings for what sounds like one of the best breakfasts ever.

For those who don't know, Farfetch'd's Japanese name is a phrase which translates to "a duck comes bearing green onions," which is a Japanese figure of speech meaning "surprising, but convenient." So its entire original premise was that it's a joke about a duck that carries its own side vegetable.
  • Finding a gourgeist, catching it, bringing it to wherever the exorcism is being performed and then cooking the remaining pumpkin seems like a lot more work then just getting a non-possessed pumpkin.
  • Veluza discards excess flesh to boost speed and it’s psychic power and one of it’s dex entries describes them having a “mild but delicious flavour”

1:23 "endangered pokemon" My brain: BREED AS MANY FARFETCH AS YOU CAN WE NEED TO RE POPULATE THE SPECIES
  • Just to let you know, Mikey, a lot of herbs are bug repellents. Basil, Bay Leaves, Garlic, Sage, Thyme, Mint, Chives, even Cilantro are known to repel bugs, the listed ones even repel specific bugs. So it’s not at all strange for Petilil’s leaves being bug repellent and edible.
  • 14:27 You forgot to mention Gigantamax Alcremie, which is literally a giant cake!!! Although, I feel like there'd be some downsides to that one. For the first, allow me to read Gigantamax Alcremie's Pokemon Shield Pokedex entry: It launches swarms of missiles, each made of cream and loaded with 100,000 Kilocalories. Get hit by one of these, and your head will swim.
  • My own Pokebreakfast special: Chansey Breakfast Burrito with Jalapeños, grilled with Moomoo cheese on the inside and outside Piloswine Bacon, cooked limp Petilil tea, 3 Milcery cream, 3 sugar 10 piece Torchic nugget
  • The fact that some of these are supported with actual Pokedex facts and not just random opinions is hilarious to me 😂
  • @h4msandw1ch
You don’t really need to sacrifice the poor alcremie line, as seen in the anime, they can just produce their whipped cream from their palms whenever they want
  • @ShinoLia
It's actually fascinating how much of the food facts are covered in Pokedex entries! I love the subtle world building that we get through the 'dex, it's great.

Zubat/Noibat:Are we jokes to you? COVID 19 walks in Zubat/Noibat: in Utter Shock from Guilt
  • In Wishiwashi's pokedex entry for Pokémon Moon, it is specifically said that it is "weak and notably tasty". So, if you like anchovies, you can totally eat Wishiwashi, as long as it doesn't school form in the kitchen.
  • A quick note about the "eating bug repellent plants"; there are actually a number of fragrant herbs commonly used in cooking which are known to have repellant effects on some species of bugs. Rosmary, mint, and basil are all noted as having some level of effectiveness repelling mosquitoes, for example.
