  • I tend to be an over thinker and I can get so overwhelmed with making my quiet time so complicated that I stop doing it all together. And I know that that’s not what God wants for me. So, I try keep it simple and have little expectations of my quiet time other than reading and praying and that is it.

    1) Address what your Q.T. goal is. Set your intention. If needed, pivot later. 2) Pick a time that you're going to do it. Consistency is key. 3) Stick to this model:- a) Begin with prayer. Cast your anxieties on Him. b) Read your Bible. c) Incorporate supplemental Christian reading. ❤️
  • A few years ago My grandpa challenged all of us grandkids to read through the whole new testament and he said he would give us five dollars for every book We read and wrote a summary on. That really got me motivated to start reading my Bible. Ever since then I’ve been reading my Bible mostly every day and now I’m starting to read through the whole old testament.

Consistency. Every quiet time bring us a step closer to God 🙏🙏. Ask God for understanding the Bible. Humble ourselves before God. Let God do the teaching.

God really showed this to me at the right time. I've been scared to start a quiet time of any sort because I'm not good at sticking to them. Hoping to use some ideas from this 💛

The thumbs in different skin colors made me so happy ❤️
  • I so needed this! I’m having a baby sometime in the next month so my quiet time is going to change. I think God has been preparing me for this because before I was pregnant, God was telling me to shorten my time so when I have kids, I can still get time in and it still be just as impactful. But I wasn’t sure how to go about it because I love spending a lot of time with Him. I learned a lot from this video. Thanks Coffee Girls!!’
  • After watching your episode of your Bible Teacher saying about quiet time and if you only feel like reading 3 verses a day or a whole chapter it really released me from guilt and I have been doing my quiet time daily and have read many chapters of the Bible guilt free if some days I only feel like reading 3 verses and have drawn closer to God 🙏🏻
  • Finding quiet time with myself and God can be difficult. I’m 55 years old and live in a house where it can be noisy and hectic. God is such a major thing in my life and I feel the Holy Spirit in me sooooooooo much that it’s easy for me to get into that holy zone within me even though my life is hectic and busy. I like your idea about having goals this year that can help us get closer to God in a quiet area. God is so loving and accepting and he will help us find time to worship him. Good bless. Michael

I’m the “read the Bible in a year” type of person… but I was not always like this. It took me a few years to actually get through the whole Bible, but now I’m on my second year of doing it. I really like the BibleProject and their studies that they have for the Bible in a year… the videos they create really bring life to what you are reading

I literally thought in my quiet time today that i just don't know how to keep a Bible journal and writing all that seemed complicated i was like idk how to figure out my quiet time. And you posted it 🤧
  • For all the moms out there I have a 2 year old and a 7yr old I wasn’t able to be consistent with a time but I choose a spot and that has helped me, because when I have time I just go to my spot that is ready with all my materials 💖 thank you Tyler for this beautiful video ❤

1.What is your goal for quiet time Examples Reading the book of the bible in depth. Half a chapter a day Reading through the old testament in 1 year. Or topical bible study or reading through the entire bible in 1 year Can Pivot later. 2.Pick a time you're going to do it Consistency is the key. Maybe 8 am, or before lunch.. or 1 for 1 hour, or at night before bed.. Depends on individual , pick a time and be consistent 3.Begin with prayer Cast all anxiety, share to god anything we're wanna share . Don't forget to ask the holy spirit to guide in bible reading, study 4.Read your Bible -this where yours goal come in

also... about to have a baby girl ( due date in 10 days) and so in a weird non routine waiting period as im on maternity leave and anxiously prayerfully awaiting this new season! any advice from new mums on how to keep seeking Jesus or ways of reading the word during night feeds etc. etc. would be mega helpful!

thanks lovely! this is super encouraging. I am abit of a free spirit myself and struggle to start when my goals are too big and daunting! im currently doing genesis with a few simple bible study tools my husband taught me. 1) light bulb - what stands out to me 2) question mark - what confuses me about the text (ask my hubby and it creates a great discussion later on! 3) what applies to my life! .... if im honest i normally only manage the lightbulb one and dont always have questions but by just slowing down and doing a chapter a day ( ish or whenever I manage to) it's been joyous and I've been encouraged by what the Holy Spirit has personally revealed to me! feeling special that God can reveal things to us each individually! - this video totally made me feel like YES im on the right track! after months and months of procrastinating and not starting anything due to aiming for goals that suit other peoples styles and not my own! Why do we over complicate it!?
  • I'm also a go with the flow, spur of the moment person. Routines are a challenge for me as well. Simplifying quiet time is essential for me. Thanks for you ideas!❤
  • God bless you for doing this channel. Your a very thoughtful Christian. I’ll try some of these techniques. No offense but, I wish there were more young women out there like you. With such a good connection with the Lord. And a solid foundation of Christian wisdom… maybe I’ll luck out one day! Anyway God bless you keep up the good work. This video took me out of a little funk I was in. Just need to stay on track daily. Like many of us I fall pray to YouTube and Netflix far to often. As Christians we need to study the word daily. Great video stay awesome!! -Justin
