"tickle me and i'll giggle and spit up" is such a charlie thing to say
  • @Epictaco7
Not to mention the game is only 35 MB, super refreshing in the age of most well polished games taking up at least 5 gigs
  • @azalago
One correction: Animal Well is only a short game if you don't look for all the secrets. THAT will take you dozens of hours.

It's always the solo devs that release the most banger games, because there is no corporation or mixed opinions to intervene, we need more developers like this.
  • It's nice the dev's name was mentioned specifically. I feel most people know it's Dunkey-published but of course not everyone.
  • Animal Well, a game made by 1 GUY, has more players than a "triple A" live service game made by a team of 250 people, using an iconic IP, on a much bigger budget. And both games took 7 years to make.

Hugely impressed by Billy's dedication on creating this unique game concept as a solo developer. Excited to see what the future holds for big mode.
  • @sub-harmonik
the engine alone is a very interesting achievement, sound design too

Halo 2 and halo 3 combined, a dream come true for classic halo fans.
  • @Gabzew
Mr Bunkey just published this banger, congratulations for the solo dev for creating this masterpiece, and that whole ARG before the game's release was awesome
  • @vexxy2464
Thank you for actually mentioning the developer by name. So many people are calling this "dunkeys game" when really it was just his studio that published it.
  • @WyvrnOnYT
Really enjoyed my playthrough. Puzzles were very refreshing. And ABOVE ALL ELSE, the game is finished on launch day
  • @DOOMStudios
This game really does feel like you’re actually playing Animal Well.
  • @Mr_Autastic
"It's only popular because of Dunkey" Me: Wishlisted Animal Well despite not even knowing Dunkey was involved at any level until this video
  • @thsudy
YouTubers make good horror movie. YouTubers raising money for charity. And now making games, wrestling etc. it’s pretty cool how independent people can go big
  • @dorphlthewise1
Super great game. I applaud dunkey's knack for finding good games and his enthusiasm for supporting indie devs, but of course the true praise belongs to Billy Basso. 7 years of hard work and it paid off in spades.
  • @DanOfTheHill
This is so heartwarming because, like when BG3 came out and the industry sneered at the idea that all games should be that good, the industry sneered at Dunkey when he said he was tired of the shit being published so he was just going to do it himseld. Bought it because I wanted to give it money. Playing it like an addict because it's fooking incredible.
  • @aran8143
I AM PROOF: had no idea who Dunkey was until this video, Animal Well still slaps
  • @robertonome2448
twitter when a gaming youtuber "who only complains about games" goes out of their way and actually help the game dev scene in a meaningful manner:
  • Dunkey is actually passionate about video games and it shows in his videos. Honestly not surprised Animal Well is a banger. Can't wait to see what games they publish in the future.
