I worked at Costco for a really long time, nearly a decade, and I worked predominantly in the liquor store. The selection of alcohols changes pretty frequently due to the nature of alcohol frequently suffering shortages, but I don't think I've had a Kirkland alcohol that I thought was bad for the price.
Also, last time I went to buy it they were out of spiced rum, and from everything I went through when we were out of any kirkland product, I don't blame any employee for being filled with hate everytime someone asks for a sold out product. People are vile as hell when mildly inconvenienced

FYI: To make it easier to cleanse your pallet you should sniff coffee grounds. Seriously, it really clears your pallet if you are tasting different alcohols or doing like a flight tasting

Rules of thumb for MOST alcohol is "Smooth" equals age, which equals higher quality. Especially scotch, whisky
