$500 Plasti-Dip vs. $2600 Vinyl Wrap - PART 2! | Donut Media

Today we are seeking to redeem ourselves. We tried plastidipping LowCar previously, but we didn’t do the best job to say the least. You guys went to town in the comments and Nolan had to reconsider what he was doing with his life. BUT we are still confident that Plasti Dip is a viable option for changing the color of your car --as long as you do a good job. It can be pretty easily reversible (we hope), fairly inexpensive (if you only do it once), and it can look good.

Donut has the power to ruin the reputation of an entire industry.
-
I didn’t realize how bad the first dip was until now seeing the redo
-
14:28 “You ever seen a harder pair of Z’s?” “We built these things!” that’s the dream
-
Who would win: A million dollar industry built around painting cars Or One unskilled boi
-
"if you showed me that thing when I was 15, I'd lose it" is basically the moral of this entire Z car saga lol
-
"Have you ever seen a harder pair of Z's?" - "we built these things!" I would be as proud too :D
-
Aaron is the friend we all need, so supportive and positive even though you did a shitty job LOL
-
nolan looks so stressed about getting the plasti dip right in this episode it hurts me
-
“At least we’re starting off on the right foot” was glossed over way too quickly that was gold
-
Nolan just really sucks at painting. 2 Mins later: Wow that looks fantastic!

10:20 hit the nail on the head right there. I first time plasti-dipped my Corolla just to see what it was like and used this philosophy. It took me like 10 coats because I was going super light, but it came out even with no drips. Also, a benefit I had in doing those light coats was by the time I finished one side the other was dry and ready for the next coat.

I like how they went "YouTube Like Button Blue" for the color of the car

“The distance doesn’t matter ....but u can’t be too close or to far”
-
The low car looks way better than before. Looks like a professional paint job.
-
I like how the plasti-dip guru was all like, "The distance doesn't really matter." And then proceeds to say you can't be too far away or too close. Sounds like it certainly matters 😂
-
Huge respect for the whole team for trying and learning the whole process, just to make it perfect. Totally worth it, looks really awesome!!!

Do a D-list on members of donut media.

Bring back “Science Garage “ that guy made it so easy to learn as a new guy just getting into the car scene!

Small tip for pouring from a rectangle jug, put the spout on the far end when you pour so it doesn't spill everywhere. The problem is the liquid and air are trying to swap spaces so when. You pour from the bottom the air has to go through the liquid and it "blubs" and spills everywhere.

Thank y'all for being so honest with this. I always watch these car vids and everyone has been doing this so long they make it look easy but y'all are doing it for real the way the DIY-er would be doing it and that's real
