Last week I purchased a brand new 2024 Mustang GT…and immediately have issues with the car. I returned the car to the dealer with 0 success on fixing the problem. Here is my Post week update with our Mustang GT. Now what?

The spark plug heat excuse is nuts… the spark plugs would have to damn near become magma for that to happen 😂

Ford: You can’t go back there to film. Teeg: I really got the vibe they didn’t want me filming back there.

cracking spark plugs on the same cylinders over and over is a sure-fire sign that something much bigger is wrong
  • Cali lemon law is easy. 3 times of F'ups you can prove your qualified. Happened to me when I bought a focus many years ago in Orange County. Stupid shifter cable popped off 3 times within 100 miles. Each time I took it back they put it back on and it failed within 5-20 miles after driving it. Called a lemon law attorney, they immediately sent a letter to Ford and Ford actually paid me to keep the focus and to go away. Basically paid me out over $12k so I got my brand new focus for like $6k and they fixed it and still had full warranty. Good Luck!
  • The insurance excuse is complete BS. I’m a manager at a car dealership. I actually know the owner of the dealership Vikas well. Also, contact Ford customer care, explain your situation and “who you are/what you do” ask them for a substitution of collateral. FoMoCo will find you a spec car and swap it out. I can help you teej

In this case, the dealership changed a couple of spark plugs and sent you on your way.. c'mon man!?? They really thought the spark plugs just blew up??

Well if you need a Mustang with those options I know of one that is for sale. It is used with less than 3k miles on it. White on White 2024..

I’m shocked this issue wasn’t found before the car was sold in the first place. Surely someone would have been behind the wheel of that car before you and would have noticed it. Sad day for mustang fans.
  • As a dealer tech (not ford), I’d be willing the bet that the plugs are NOT cracking. When you came in saying it “has a spark plug code” they probably just ran with that, and justified it by telling you it was “cracked”

The reason you weren’t allowed to film in the Service Bay/Shop is because you need to be there for business with a COI (Certification of Insurance) that covers you, your business and the dealership. I’m sure every now and then they allow for customers to quickly speak to techs and whatnot but they DEFINITELY won’t allow you to just run around with a camera. It’s an insurance liability I highly doubt they are “trying to hide something” or quite frankly even really know who you are past a YTuber with a camera

In the UK we have a 14 day return period - Anything wrong with the car, no questions asked they have to take the car back!

“Overheating because of leaning out” how does it overheat immediately after leaving the dealership the first time it was fixed?? That doesn’t make a lot of sense to me personally, but im also not a mechanic 😂
  • In Australia we call it the Friday car!!! Had to get it buttoned up before lunch.

Ford did the same with my mustang Ecoboost that blew a head gasket at 17k miles. I live close to the dealer, they said they would allow me to come by and look at the engine when they tore it down since they only wanted to replace the gasket. They kept my car for almost a month giving me the run around. In the end they tore the engine apart and put it back together without updating me at all (I was reaching out constantly) they only called me when it was fully put back together....

I personally purchased a Saleen S351 as my first and ONLY FORD product. The intake manifold was made of plastic and had a factory recall. 3500 miles in and the intake manifold cracked and dropped all it's fluid while on a sharp turn. Tires got covered in coolant and shot me off the road. Towed to dealer and fixed. Picked up a week later and 15 miles later on the way home, the engine began knocking loud AF. Towed back to the dealer the next morning and they refused to fix it, saying I drove thru low water and sucked water into the engine. Hadn't rained in a month before or after my repair😂. Got a lawyer and they still refused to repair. Made me claim the issue on my insurance. Sold that car the day after I picked it up! FORD sucks balls. So I personally can claim FORD stands for FIX OR REPAIR DAILY! All day! Everyday! 😂
