The ladies being fined for not competing in bikini bottoms shows the problem. If they still can compete with no problem in shorts then it's obvious that they wanted to sexualize the women doing these sports for personal enjoyment. I'm glad the athletes are taking offense and pushing back. There should be more standing against this.

It seems like every couple of years, they remove more and more clothing. I think the news should investigate the designers behind these super skimpy, aka - almost naked sportswear.
  • @newttella1043
If the women have to wear that outfit, then the men should have to wear the Borat mankini.
  • I agree with the pushback against these "uniforms" for women. It's not like modesty is a thing for either the men or the women, but the women's uniforms are plain exploitation.
  • @spanglishgaming
Well there you have it. They can chose to wear either shorts or underwear.

I was hoping they would change the outfit of the women’s beach volleyball. I I have decided not to watch because it’s too embarrassing. Also I don’t understand why the USA couldn’t change the women ‘s gymnastics team leotard as well. Women are being exploited thru what they wear during their performances.
  • Nike, shame on YOU! Thats poor taste. Please correct the Athletic attire, immediately.

Its a sports event ffs....Not a corn production

How can something be "sexist" when a certain group of people don't even know what a woman is? 🤔
  • @Joyce-zl4qd
Good. It will show if a boy is running on the women's teams very easily.😂😂😂
  • Have these critics seen what female track athletes are choosing to wear these days?
  • Customer engagement gone awry another self inflicted wound from the Swoosh brand revealing the strategic disconnect that has pushed its once dominant market performance further downward...Nike's response will only reveal how empathy affects it handling of adversity😮

Nothing seems to be said when dudes have got their whole print on show due to tight ass shorts
  • @CurlyBoyChuck
Nike the SAME company who hired a MAN to showcase their women’s sportswear line last yr! Just keep that in mind!

Hello from NJ I'm concerned that an athlete will be disqualified because too much skin (buttocks) is exposed because as a sister of color it can happen.
  • @markbrenner7804
If anyone was to ask the women I reckon the majority would say they like it. The women do have the option to dress differently so to me this is a non story.
  • @ironshelter40
Most of the "critics" have never played sports or competed. I can tell you some women athletes have worn less. Also, athletes do and can modify their uniform e.g. tights under pants, compression sleeves, leggings, etc.
