Christine was singing in Fleetwood Mac before Stevie Nicks was in the group

With Fleetwood Mac, the lead vocal for a particular song was usually sung by whoever wrote the song. Therefore, they technically had 3 lead singers, Stevie, Christine and Lindsey. When producing an album, each would be given their share of time, which normally worked out to about 3-4 songs per singer/songwriter. With Stevie being such a prolific songwriter, and vinyl albums being so limited on space, she began her solo career as a way to get her songs heard.

  • Sticking with 87, there is an awesome song called, midnight blue, from Lou Gramm (formerly of foreigner). You might not recognize the song title, but you might have heard it back in the 80s. It was the most requested song of 1987.

If you keep going down the FM rabbit hole you'll be surprised by a lot of their sounds. They are very diverse and can go from ballads to blues to hard, hard rock.
