It sounds like Tanjiro is trying so hard to hold himself together and sound confident hearing it is just heart breaking.

You can tell Zach learned from all the hate and criticism he got in season 1 cause in this movie he sounded so much more emotional and he sounded like he put in more work. I already love the dub as is but Zach definitely stepped his game up

When I watched the movie, I felt so angry that Akaza got away, but Tanjiro's speech added so much more weight to this moment. Rengoku died and protected everyone on the train, Rengoku had the power and strength to kill Akaza but the weakness/mortality of man caused him to die. We hear Akaza preach about how his demon immortality could cure him of this weakness but Rengoku died with his dignity and pride intact. Protecting those who could have never protected themselves. Damm, I loved this movie.

The whole death scene had me crying but this was one of the parts of it that made me cry the most. It took a complete stranger for Rengoku to hear the stuff that he always wished he could of heard from his father.

To be honest, I couldn't stand Zack Agular as Tanjiro in Season 1 but I was impressed by his performance here. I felt bad for him because he received a lot of backlash after the beginning of Demon Slayer but now I appreciate him even more since he took it to improve. And you can obviously see that here. It's so realistic because Tanjiro is exhausted and battle damaged from fighting that one upper moon demon, and the only thing pushing him to yell at Akaza is his rage- and I think Zack Agular portrays that extremely well. Especially with the gravel and voice cracks in his screams. I only see that he's gonna get better 👌

At first I felt underwhelmed at Zach’s performance as Tanjiro. But his dub started growing now me, especially during the Rui fight. And then this movie, he went above all expectations and performed perfectly! This scene especially, really showed how far he’s come
