Expeditions should have been a dlc for snowrunner
  • @CL-rm6sb
SR may be a better overall "game" but ST/MR are superior simulations from an off-road standpoint.

I played all of them recently and they've all been enjoyable. I'd say MudRunner has the best physics, SpinTires provides the most satisfying driving experience (animations/sounds) and Expeditions has the most beautiful maps. SnowRunner is also number one for me due to the sheer amount of content it has. I just love open-world games in general and I don't really care if I'm driving a KOLOB or something like the DON 71.
  • This series forgot what is most important in these games.. Physics, and snowrunner and expeditions have stupid arcade physics, only mudrunner in spintires give fun.

Spintires and the original (old) MR has much better physics, certainly more realistic than SR and ExpeditionsMR. With SR they changed game engine for more colorful but with degraded physics. It feels to me like if they changed from real car physic to RC toy car physics. When SR was released I made a comparison video.

Don't listen to people who say; "The exploration side of Snorunner was the most fun" these people mostly played not more than 30 hours. What we need is a fully fletched Logistics game with gigantic 64bit precision maps with highways mixed in. Let us shift to sixth gear at least once...

Just discovered snow runner, yes very late to the party. Wow, am addicted. Game too a while to click but wow, now love it.

Kojima is glad to see strand-likes caught on
  • Physics in Mudrunner is still better than all of this... from Snowrunner you cant feel the weight of the trucks and suspensions are so bouncy that looks like toys lol
  • @Beencheeling
No way you ranked expeditions second. My personal ranking would be: Snowrunner at the top due to the diversity of trucks, maps and tasks which does overlap the lack of physics in spintires and mudrunner Spintires comes in second since it started the franchise, has interesting DLCs, the Chinese and Chernobyl maps are very cool, the trucks keep the original appeal and have tyre pressure, something not to be seen again until expeditions Mudrunner even though it is the third is a great game, you get your first taste of American trucks and maps, plus a tractor and a car. The mods are insane (someone made a jeep with an actual interior) but nonetheless, either I'm biased or the Spintires maps are better. Expedition is the last and definitely the worst of the bunch. DLCs feel like p2w, has the least amount of maps and trucks most of them being taken from snowrunner, maps are noteworthy but they get overlapped by the bad stuff, you get disposable winch which just makes everything way easier, you get the DLC trucks right from the start and the physics are a bit better than snowrunner, yes but still cannot compare to mudrunner, not to mention nobody cares about it

What i enjoy is doing hauling in these games. Expeditions is just stupid
  • @telemeister
I struggled starting out with these games, but I have grown to love them. The slow pace is just so cathartic.
  • @crisperu19
My first was Snowrunner and love it, I bought Expeditions...I dislike it.
  • @DylanChiu-e2w
Nailed it I think that snowrunner just needs to implement the subtle nuances that mudrunner had like more variations of trailers and personally I loved the smoke and sparks a worn engine would spit out in mudrunner that snowrunner didn't use. Thats about it. Great vid

Normal tip for all Game except Expedition: Spintires:if you are driving on a flat Surface try to not use The All Wheels it will Just take your Fuel. Mudrunner:go slow on some locations Snowrunner:Try to Upgrade mostly like Suspension, Diff lock and All wheel drive, engine For Spintires, mudrunner:If your Truck only has Diff lock use Low gear on Mud roads

Thank you for creating this video. Expeditions is my first game of this genre coming from 20+ years of FPS, RPG, and RTS games, and I'm fu@k1ng loving it. I'm on PC, and I turned the in-game music off at day 1 (no hate) while listening to my personal music (for the win). Expeditions is challenging enough, but I wish there is a way to mod the game so the upgrade spawns are randomized to extend the game replayability. You twisted my arm (not) to grab Snowrunner. I was already downloading it from Steam before your video review of it ended, lol.

I really enjoyed your video and I agree with everything you said. One thing to add, and I think the main reason that spin tires and mudrunner gained such a following was because of the mods. Custom vehicles and full maps you could download took the games from a logging simulator to an offroad driving game.
