Story 71 #gardentoursaturday June 29 2024

Hi Friends- today's tour is a little longer, but I think you'll enjoy it. The first 8 1/2 minutes I begin to turn an old fire pit into a garden bed and then take you to the park bench that overlooks the valley and I chat about some things in our valley. Then we have a short garden up dates. Smokey, JJ and Cocoa and our cow Dolly make an appearance too. Hope you enjoy!
* *I apologize if you can't hear me very well. I was speaking into the camera while taking the video and my voice doesn't come out as clear, especially with the music. Voiceovers are probably better with my soft voice- please ask if you have questions or put the Closed Captions on (cc)*
* If you enjoy my videos I would love for you to subscribe, hit the Like button and tell me what you think in the comments.
** I appreciate everyone of you who stops by my channel to watch!

Oh my goodness! What a piece of heaven that view is. Gorgeous! Great idea to use the firepit as a home for wildflowers and a butterfly paradise. Simply beautiful! ๐ŸŒบ๐Ÿ’•

  • What a cute idea! I wish I had more rocks in the yard. I think something like that would look nice in our yard. Beautiful cat, rolling in the dirt, reminds me of something that kitten would do ๐Ÿ˜‰ The vegetable plants look great too, loved the bell pepper, looking so healthy.๐Ÿฅฐ

Fire pit planter! I think you should market it! ๐Ÿคฃโ™ฅ๏ธ
  • I hope some wildflowers grow. I planted a packet I got from Mom a few years back and they're growing. It's on the west side next to the house and gets real hot there. I hope they love it, thrive and reseed themselves!! I love that you put the lilac near your door. We have a volunteer lilac by our back door, it's only given us blossoms a couple of times and now it needs to be cut back. Farmer Jim ๐Ÿ˜‰ will take care of that!
  • Hi Barby! I say it everytime, but I love your property so much. The view is gorgeous! Good idea to plant some flowers in the fire pit area. I hope you attract lots of butterflies! Your plants look great! Youโ€™ll definitely get a watermelon! Have a wonderful night! ๐Ÿค— โค

Hi Barby. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’• Pretty Lupines. They may cross pollinate?Smokey looks comfy & taking in the beautiful view on the bench. LOL A butterfly garden will be lovely. I hope the Seeds take & grow. It sounds like a lot of nice flowers.I just Googled what plants would grow well in ash. It says many plants can grow well in soil with wood ash which is valuable soil amendment that can increase soil PH & provide nutrients for plants.Who knew? LOL They listed citrus trees, roses, & lavender, pink Hydrangeas, lilacs, and peonies. Anything apparently likes more alkaline soil.I think I would add in a little soil with it though. Interesting. Hope you are having a nice Saturday ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿฉท
