Two years ago, James Charles was one of the most popular names when discussing the YouTube mainstream. He was playing Minecraft with PewDiePie, hosting his own reality TV Show called "Instant Influencer", all while his personal YouTube channel was clearing well over 100 million views per month. However, over the last year, for James Charles, things have changed… significantly. He’s lost over 1.5 million subscribers equivalent to losing more than 100,000 subs per month, his average viewership per video has declined from well over 10 million to a little over 1 million, all while his twitter hasn’t seen any positive follower growth during the same time period. You might say that James Charles has become the poster child victim of internet cancellations. However, we should use the term “victim” lightly, as the death of his career has certainly been self-inflicted, and could have easily been avoided. Numerous controversies led YouTubers such as H3H3 and Keemstar to call James Charles out for his actions and his multiple "fake" apology videos.

This is, James Charles Career Is Basically Dead. Why?

Thank you guys for watching, like and sub if you enjoyed, SunnyV2 XO ❤

  • I’m still pissed at the fact he called him grooming minors MULTIPLE TIMES “drama” if he was in any other career path, it would be off to jail. But for influencers, literal crimes are just cancel culture and drama

James is the perfect example of what happens when you get to the top too fast. He felt like he was entitled for everything he wanted, he felt untouchable and wanted everyone to bow down to him.

The Narcissist’s Prayer: That didn't happen. And if it did, it wasn't that bad. And if it was, that's not a big deal. And if it is, that's not my fault. And if it was, I didn't mean it. And if I did, you deserved it.
  • I found your channel today morning and am addicted now, seeing the community uncover such details that can destroy influencers and even celebrities has some sort of charm to it, and the way you narrate these like a story is really intriguing. all I want to say is Keep making more of such videos, keep them coming!!
  • @LunetteFox
The worst part of James is people rooted for him when he was genuinely being canceled by other makeup icons who were trying to "expose" him but then revealed himself to potentially be exactly what they were accusing him of being. Absolute scummiest move was posting a "taking accountability" video only to delete it after the heat died down so his new viewers wouldn't see it.

You don't apologize for other peoples sensibilities, you apologize if you yourself recognize that you did something wrong and if you genuinely mean that apology
  • The fact that he is a groomer and still has a huge following is absolutely mind blowing
  • @THEMIMIK
im gay and the fact that he wants a boyfriend who’s straight is gross. Pressuring someone to have sex with you who doesnt want to isnt having a boyfriend but someone who’s being forced to do something you want against there will
  • @Amy-hz4df
The fact that he's admitted to messaging minors and still has such a huge following??? Absolutely blows my mind who people will stand by because of their status, if a regular guy admitted to doing that the same people wouldn't have anything to do with him.
  • @Koofy
'Til this day, I still have no idea how he hasn't gotten "cancelled" yet, I mean he kinda did, but not to the point like MiniLadd or other people. Like people just simply forgot 🙃
  • I'm absolutely terrified of manipulative sexually drived monsters like James. I don't think I'd fall from force when it comes to exploitation, but manipulation like his? The way he could reverse anything I would say onto me is just absolutely fear inducing to me. How he could have the gall to dare do this to anyone is just terrible and I hope not only that he's ashamed and that hes learned, but also that he's been held accountable.
  • @kreatyvkamz17
I’m sorry but the way the narrator said the waiter realized he was straight after his experience with James was just too funny😂😂😂😂
  • @bahnseok
disgusting how he specifically targetted straight men who clearly had no interest
  • @chaosemralds
I just don’t understand how people were trying to hold him accountable for his actions, yet was given so many chances by the community.
  • @CrabulousYT
Here is the CORRECT guide to make a good apology: -Don't make a video, make a livestream and a vod so people can ask questions. If you do make a video make it then do a livestream. -If you are really REALLY wanting a video, be honest, no script but also don't try to make it look like raw footage, it is a clear indicator its a fake apology.
  • @ZachGatesHere
Lesson: you can explain your side if you're in the right. If you fucked up, you can't try to talk your way out of it.
  • @dr.loomis4221
I love how every Youtuber goes with no makeup, low exhausted voice, and messy hair for their apology videos.

James has a predominantly child/teen audience, but when he does this shit it's just cancel culture. I work with kids and if accusations were sent against me I would be suspended, investigated and yeeted from my job more than likely. Being an influencer/celebrity is not a free pass to do this shit to children. I forgot about this for 7 months and holy thanks for the likes! I just wanted to add it just makes me sad and angry James choose to use his influence the way he does. A lot of my teen beans, especially my LGBTQ beans look up to him as a role model. They see a confident gay man. James has said before he didn't realize how much influence he really has and the impact he has. But really he still DOESNT. He has the power to literally lift up an entire generation of young queer youth and yet he uses his social media like a tinder. I'm a 24 year old non binary queer bean so I'm essentially a gay elder at this point (lol) and even in my work when I work with children and they talk to me about this kind of stuff you see the difference when it clicks in their minds there are adults who are like them, living happy lives. They begin to see they have a future and I know in even my own small capacity I have made a difference. I make the choice everyday to be the most positive influence I can given my typically not positive circumstance that lead me to working with the kiddo. James has the ability to make waves of positive impact compared to my drop in the bucket but here we are 🫤
  • @X_XD
Don’t let him play a violin, A-Minor is how he got into this situation
  • @seanprice6049
I'm going to be real honest here, if accountability was taken he wouldn't even have a platform now. This man should've been severely punished, but unfortunately that likely won't happen.
