The owner of a downtown Los Angeles mini-market, Nabor Herrera, became an instant celebrity after news broke that his store sold a $1 billion winning Powerball ticket to an as-yet unidentified lottery player.

Is this the first time someone from the hood won $1 billion? This is maybe the 2nd largest jackpot. Maybe I'll buy a mega millions this Friday, but in a different city from where I live. too bad the owner has to be identified and can't be anonymous.
