creator of gimmick 1 was not contacted to be involved with this project amd only learned about it after it's announcement, which the leads of this project posted a weird apology on twitter saying they wish they could've gotten him involved. He's very easy to contact on all his socials. Just a weird situation all around and the game is worse off for his absence

I'm not sure if I fully gel with the art style, it gives me low-budget phone game vibes. That said, it's pretty wild that we're getting a sequel and some of the new mechanics look interesting.

Of all the games that I expected to get a sequel or remake, I would never believe that Gimmick could even have a sequel (Since I saw it as one of those experimental NES titles)
