In the aftermath of the Belgian Grand Prix, F1's driver market took some massive steps forward - Carlos Sainz announced his contract with Williams for 2025 onwards, whilst Sergio Perez was confirmed to be staying at Red Bull. Bryn Lucas chats with Alex Kalinauckas and Ronald Vording to explain all the info and understand the decisions.

Was Red Bull’s decision to give Sergio Perez another lifeline the right one for the team? Why did Carlos Sainz commit to Williams, and what does that say about Audi’s F1 hopes? Also, what are your thoughts on what Red Bull needs to do to secure both the drivers’ and constructors’ titles in 2024? Let us know in the comments! Also, if you have ideas for what you want to be covered in future videos, please do let us know!

i have a feeling sainz will come to regret not driving for audi in the near future. i hope im wrong tho
  • @Max_Flashheart
Checo will be out after Mexico is my guess if he doesn't improve.

This will be the first time since 2017 Williams will field 2 competitive drivers (Sirotkin, Kubicia, Latifi, Seargent).

Early congrats to Mclaren for winning the constructors championship now that Perez is staying

Red Bull needs to make the car better. Straight up. If it’s slow & Max has to drive it on a knife’s edge (and he’s a knife edge master), then the car is the bigger problem. Who cares about Sergio if Max can no longer win races?

I take Alex’s point but, Tsunoda on the Sunday in Hungary did a masterful drive with 1 stop.
  • Max wouldnot like Carlos on team. Hence Max Checko relationship has improved. Max and his dad are very focussed

    Perez has Horner’s dirty pix😂😂😂😂

Red Bull isn't just a race team. It's a brand name, and Sergio Perez brings too much to the table cash wise. Money means more to them than tabloid speculation about performances. If I could be so bold, he's about as secure as Lance Stroll is for the rest of his contract.
