He was absolutely right... Those were the best of times....
  • @JaxonSmithers
The best of times were growing up with Styx in the 70s and 80s 🔥

To everyone under 40, unless this world changes, right now is YOUR best of times. My generation had the 70's & 80's. Our music and love(s) and our cars were all that was good. At the time WE thought life sucked !! How wrong WE were! Looking back they were AMAZING! You younger people liking those times didn't live it. Sooo, enjoy your youth and live life to the fullest while you can, because Old Man Time sneaks up on you faster than you would like!

The Tommy Shaw band is not Styx without Dennis. The biggest fans miss you Buddy 🎹 🎤🎶✌️❤️

There will never be another band like Styx. They will always be special. Incredibly talented .
  • Can't believe Styx isn't in the rock in roll hall of fame yet, such a talented band. Whoever thinks Styx should be inducted into the rock n roll hall of fame, like this comment
  • My mother would sing this song to me when I was a child to help me sleep. Something I will never forget, love you mom I'll never forget you ❤

"When people lock their doors and hide inside, rumor has it it's the end of paradise." Still relevant 40 years later. Thanks, Styx. <3

Tears flowing down, I'm 68 Years old, always remember the best of times in life.

Just got home from watching Styx, Foreigner, and John Waite. Took me back to a simpler time in my life 🙌
  • “I wish this summer wind could bring back paradise…” This line brings out a longing in my heart for days gone forever. I’m 54 now and I can honestly say that 1985-1995 probably were the best of times, at least for one old man in East Tennessee.

I believe that somewhere in the world, there are people who feel the same emotions that I feel when I listen to masterpieces like this song.
  • @KillrMillr7
Tommy Shaw is so underrated, with his fantastic lead guitar, vocal harmony. Loved these guys from the very beginning.
  • Who ever would have thought this song would have such meaning today ❤

This song so vividly reminds me of going to my high school’s football games on Friday nights, just to hang out behind the bleachers the whole time with my friends instead of actually watching the games. Truly the best of times. Nostalgia is such a strange feeling.
