As a Katrina Survivor - be wise and get out now, there will be no "last minute"

I used to live in Jackson MS and this is devastating for the city 💔 Praying for everyone dealing with this 🙏🏽

Imagine trying to leave with no destination or vehicle

Coming from a drought region, seeing all of that water is mindblowing. My sympathies for everyone enduring this tragedy. I'm hoping the best for them.

As a Houstonian who lived through Harvey, my heart goes out to these people.

I grew up in Jackson. I was there for the 1979 flood. It was a terrible time then. I pray for all of my fellow citizens!
-
That’s why I moved out of Mississippi. My motto leave now live later.
-
I just finished a video on the flood we got in WV. We didn't receive any warnings like this, I hope these people will take it seriously and get prepared.

This is devastatingly frightening. Where are the residents who can barely afford their own mortgages/rents or who are maxed out on credit cards supposed to go? There should be some sort of national coordination effort or registry during emergencies such as these to help low-income households find safe and secure lodging in neighboring states for free or with volunteers or at a discount rate with hotels or motels that have the extra room.

I lived in Jackson as a young child in the early 1960's and I remember the streets flooding and all of us kids playing in the water.

Jackson Mississippi keeps getting hit with so much trouble, ice, flooding, road infrastructure, clean water,, and crime
-
This is so sad for these people. I hope all get out safe and sound!!
-
This is really scary for those affected. Somewhat reminds me of Hurricane Katrina when the then mayor of New Orleans warned everyone to "evacuate now." Hopefully this won't turn into a humanitarian disaster like Katrina did...
-
My heat goes out to all in this storms path. Sending you all love and light.
-
This is really scary. It’s crazy how the east coast is experiencing a drought and other parts of this country are flooding… I hope everyone is okay.
-
Keep telling them climate change isn’t real. That should solve it. Or better yet, thought and payers. Double solved.
-
There is no escaping Mother Nature. She has just begun her wrath. Our abuse on the environment is no longer being tolerated.
-
This is so sad floods destroying everyone’s homes

Praying for my old hometown and surrounding areas.Ya'll stay strong and make the right decisions for all involved!

Sending sympathetic good wishes to the folks suffering from losses and having to relocate. Hang in there.
