The heavy metal band Gojira from France's sixth studio album is called Magma. Using Roadrunner Records, the album was released on June 17, 2016.

The album was recorded at the band's New York City recording studio. It was produced by Joe Duplantier, mixed by Johann Meyer, and masterfully finished by Ted Jensen.

The band's biggest charting and sales debut to date was made with Magma, which sold approximately 17,000 copies in its first week of availability in the US and peaked at number 24 on the Billboard 200.

With a more approachable ambient feel and a greater emphasis on clean voices, the album proves to be a stylistic departure from the band's earlier releases.
