Back then you could sell buildings.trough a glitch you could even sell your townhall,so the base without the townhall is not 100 procent hacked.

The ice wizard tower is kinda similar. Me and my brother used to play on a private clash royale server and there was a special card called ice wizard tower it dealt almost the same damge as a wizard tower but the freezing effect made up for it

The merged building is not a hack, I was able to accidentally do it myself a few years ago, it's a bug when using the village edit mode, sometimes buildings will combine instead of switching places, thankfully I wasn't banned but it resulted to some of my buildings placed on random areas after a maintenance break
