I prefer movie recaps over these episodic uploads. The lack of an ending is frustrating.

This entire show went absolutely nowhere at the end. From start to finish, nothing changed whatsoever. No wonder S2 got cancelled

For anyone wanting to know. Its a series, not a movie. its called "Helgoland 513"
-
for some reason, I read the title as "Legoland"
-
so the guy was punished for 4 weeks without food yet looks 80lbs overweight haha

I don't know if this is directly inspired by it, but this reminds me of a short story I read in high school. The premise was, eternal life was possible (no dying by aging, eternal youth kind), so to make sure overpopulation was kept in check, every time someone was born, someone had to die. On discovery that his wife was having twins, rather than sacrificing his father (who was the original "life donor"), he killed the doctor who made the discovery, then himself to make way for the twins.

Survivors will always be the worse in apocalypse scenarios.

Having lived in Germany for a long time, I would say this is just about right.

Lack hospital equipment? Simple listening for heart beats. They have Henrick on the expedition?? These people are stupid.
-
Seeing the storyline l have the feeling that the real problem might be to keep up the number of the population rather then to limit it.
-
imagine getting scammed by a calendar number đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł

Why not just rebuild instead of wanting to go to the island lol
-
This movie is proof that the idea of controlling the narrative with lies can be deadly for the innocent.

I hate shows like this. Theyâre overly exaggerated n overly dramatic. Sorry but Beatrice ainât running ish. Heinrich isnât living without complete societal uprising. That black dude is just leaving if his wife isnât allowed on the island. Killing doctors instead of Beatrice and her cronies is idiotic. Main landers wanting to go to the island doesnât make sense. Cannibalism isnât that far fetched but raise small game and crops isnât that hard and WAY more sustainable

Thank you for the recap! đ

I'm not surprised to see a series made on a dilemma of the social credit score. It is a very disturbing system - especially when anyone can obtain scores just for doing something good in the sight of the leader. In a sense, the leader in this story, is no better than her son who coerced women to have sex with him in exchange for food. As long as people please the leader, they get to stay.

Great recap as alwaysâ€

4:14 one of the most unrealistic sniper shots ever.. Standing up and 700 to 800 yards in a heavy cross breeze with target moving up and down on a boat. Not gonna happen.
