PART 2 HERE:    • Spotify iPod pt. 2: FAQ's and Upgrades!
^ I answer FAQ's, show hardware upgrades (*cough* headphone jack, usb-c *cough*), and demo some gaming.

RE: The high pitched noise - SORRY! I thought I had filtered it out of all of my clips. Frankly, I can't hear it that well. Should be safe after 4:38. Please forgive me, this is still a 0 budget operation.

"What are your Spotify playlists?" Pulls out 17-year-old iPod
  • @wh1z1er
The way you explain this project along with the calm background music has been a breath of fresh air compared to videos I watched in youtube. The spotify notice at the end is commendable.. finally giving kudos to those that helped you is inspiring.. you found a fan in me! Keep it up!
  • @johnisdoe
It's cool how the screen is green and black just like Spotify
  • @S4M3350
I’d think it’d be really cool to streamline the manufacturing process and start selling these, I’d be first in line!
  • This is so amazing!! You basically built what I dreamed the future to be like back then, when streaming services didn't even exist yet. I would have payed a fortune for it in 2004
  • @BigTea
What do I need to pay you for this?
  • This is incredibly well done! I love how far you went to preserve the classic iPod experience all while bringing it up to modern standards.
  • Great project. Apple please make an Apple Music version of the iPod on its 25th anniversary
  • Completely bonkers. I've been following the new wave of open source ipod upgrades and people like Dankpods for a while now, but this is some next level shit! Your dedication, creativity and resourcefulness comes out as straight up wizardry. Highly commendable work you're doing (and thanks for mildly shitting on spotify/encouraging direct artist support at the end)
  • “Tell Em” is now my most streamed song 🤯 Guy thank you for sharing me & everyone streaming much love !
  • As a Guy who loves Old iPods and Spotify, This is amazing. Edit: OMG thanks for for likes.

Omfg you can use the wheel with a pi now? I guess i'll be making a PiPod reloaded
  • It’s honestly criminal you don’t have more subs, I only found your channel today and am in awe! Keep up the excellent work! Looking forward to the next project
  • @yuki-jw8mb
I absolutely love anything tech stuff while not having any tech skills and watching you have been so satisfying. I can't believe I found this 2 year old video of yours and now I've subscribed to your channel. Your work is very interesting. Keep it up!
  • Got this in my recommended, hope more people are as lucky as me
  • I like how you showed off the product right away, and then used the rest of the video to explain the process. Honestly a breathe of fresh air where it's 15 minutes, but the whole build and explanation is sprinkled throughout.
  • Tim Cook be like: OK WE NEED TO END THIS GUY UNLESS HE PUTS APPLE MUSIC ON THAT
