Great video. I struggled with editing tracks downloaded from the internet like changing start/finish to my own home. Learning about the "editing features" and the "Direct" Mode with your 1km/mile tweak did the trick! So thanks again! Cheers and Ride Safe!

Finding your videos very helpful. I am a new base camp/gps user. Use it mainly for motorcycling. One question for you, when I try to create a route on base camp, the software tells me I need to connect my Garmin to the PC and use its map. I can see a map on the PC but there is no detail until I connect the Garmin. Do I have to buy a map for base camp for the region I am riding in (mid Atlantic US) so I don't have to connect the Garmin? I thought I had free maps. Any help is appreciated. Off to view more of your videos.

Can my garmin use all my saved tracks And create a route if I say home to a waypoint I have saved. Use multiple tracks to get where I want to go automatically without drawing it out on base camp.

By far this is the best video Basecamp tutorial. You explain that changing activity helps in the track to the route but what about when you import the route to your Garmin and it is set for Motorcycle will it change how it follows the route?

I am very new to this. I followed your video on creating a route. Since the area where I created it is 345mi from my house I can't test it. When I start the route though, it gives me direction from my current location. Once I arrive on the starting point of my custom route will it guide me along my route then? Edit: figured it out. Had wrong next destination set. Thanks for great video

Having an issue with Basecamp MAC 4.8.9 it keeps crashing when I go from direct to motorcycling with over 100 via points. I like to use 200 so it does not redirect my Routes

It seems that when you convert a track to a route, Garmin adds those two waypoints as start and finish points. You deleted those in this video. Does that affect the route in any way?
