I forget if I commented on any of your vids yet, you saved me so many headaches and time figuring out how to do all the basics. Thanks much for the series.

Thanks for the very clear tutorial - much clearer than the official stuff.

Thank you, Joseph, Great tutorial, I'm new to Base case whilst I understand the basics, I could not make a route from way-points you video made it very clear.
  • Excellent, well deigned tutorial. Thanks for taking the time to create and share.
  • I've just begun using Basecamp and your videos are quite helpful. Is there a way to create a route, but simultaneously be able to view other routes you've previously created so as not to cause overlap? I'd like to be able to color-code routes to quickly differentiate between routes.

hi Would you know how to set a route or find byways on base camp

hi Many thanks for the tutorials, what would be the best process for creating a route through France into Spain using both toll and non toll roads. My thoughts would be to split into 2/3 routes?

Thanks for this tutorial. I can't wait to try this. One problem I had when I made a route last night: I made the route, exported it to my device, and tried to make another separate route. I found that I could not get rid of the first route from the map. I finally had to delete the first route in order to have a clean map for the next. What is the procedure that clears the map without deleting the previous work?

Can you create a store of waypoints (found or visited places of interest) on Basecamp that can be accessed for future routes or visits?

How did you turn off the POI's on the map?when I hover my mouse over a spot on the map I get lists of POI's, like gas stations, stores, banks..
  • Hi, my question is, lets say I did what you done (made way points) but its in the forest, but i want my route to go directly from way point to way point. That's the problem I'm running into, when i do the steps you have so clearly provided in this video where my way points that I have saved are close to a road, when i make a route the route takes me from the first point to highway than down the highway and than into the next way point, and that pattern continues until its to the last way point. (Hard to explain ,I hope you understand)

Hi,  Great tutorials.  My first try worked perfectly.  My second and third attempts however have failed.  My Zumo 340 says "unable to import, route too long".  I have tried sending from Basecamp to both the internal storage and the memory card (8Gb with about 7Gb free) with no success.  The routes are about 500klm long so it's not as if it's around Australia :).  Any ideas?

Garmin Drive. When I choose 'Go home' on the device, it generates a different route, why doesnt it follow my planned trip - in reverse?

I have problem, my waypoints connect directly from one to another one. could u help?

Good tutorial, but the real issue is that routes created in Garmin BaseCamp get recalculated when upload to a Garmin GPs (like my 60CSx) so the route on the Garmin GPS device might be very different from the route created in Garmin Basecamp.
