My children cannot believe these songs like this are at least 30 years old. They sound timeless.

Age 17 in 1991 I was totally captured by the video and the sound. About to leave foster care as soon as I turned 18 to go it alone as a young adult into the unknown big wide world to live independently. Every lonely but strong purposeful stride Shara took as she walked those streets to the bitter sweet happy sad sound was symbolic of me at that time. It moved me back then and still moves me when I hear it today age 50. Still navigating through the streets of life. But then again, aren't we all.

One of the greatest song ever

What a privilege to have been 20 when this was out, no internet, no mobiles no social media just music like this as the soundtrack to growing up in realtime without a screen in your face
-
It’s 2024 and this is still one of the greatest songs ever
-
This song is a monument in the history of music.

MTV, no mobile phones, no internet, only passion, joy and love for music. Oh, how I miss the 90s... greetings to everyone from Poland, wherever you are, my thoughts are with you, thanks to this masterpiece created by Massive Attack. God bless You all.

One of the most atmospheric haunting songs ever produced , Shara Nelson's voice is fantastic
-
One of the many reasons why this is a classic is that no other song has ever sounded remotely like it: the strings, the beat, the lyrics, the scratching and weird percussion sounds, but, most of all, Shara Nelson's unique vocals. For me, it brings back memories of things that never happened.
-
In my humble opinion, the most beautiful piece of popular music in the last 30 years. It somehow manages to be cold, warm, mechanic and human at the same time. The brilliance of this song is that it combined the tradition of soul music with what was then an amazingly forward-looking style of music without sounding like a gimmick or a cliché. The beat, the samples, the scratching, the strings, Shara Nelson's voice, that heartbreaking vocal and the production... Everything here is about subtlety, balance and everything fitting together at the right time. And it's truly heartbreaking that Shara Nelson didn't have the career she deserved when you know she co-wrote this masterpiece.

Quite possibly the greatest piece of music in the last 100 years.

Whose listening in July 2024?
-
Its 2020 and this is still one of the coolest tracks ever produced

My God this still gives me chills.

My brain has never left 90's dimension, every time I hear timeless classics from the 90's I am transported back in time/home. 💞👌😊👍

Cant believe this from 91!...32 years old now. Especially for electronic music from that era, its remarkable that it hasnt aged at all!
-
This was the entrance music for my grandmas funeral yesterday, she was 86 and this was one of her all time favourites as well as one of mine❤️ RIP X

One of the greatest songs ever. It's now decades old, but still timeless. A masterpiece.

A unique sonic poem. Wrote hard by normality. Captured exquisitely. This is life.
