Really love the 8. I came from the 6 and was planning on it keeping it for longer, but I couldn't resist the 7 year update cycle and smaller size. It really is nearly perfect for me. I plan on keeping it for that long. I got an insane deal through Virgin Mobile where I only have to pay $10/mo for 2 years. At the end I'll have only paid around $280 for this thing. I couldn't say no to that

Thanks for your informative review! More importantly, amazing t-shirt 💯 Still hesitant to upgrade though, just been using my p6a for only 1.5 years... All the features are highly enticing... Especially after trade in the 256gb p8 would only cost 390€... Anyways, your review brought again some good incite, thanks mate👌🏼

how is the battery while using mobile data though as well as idle battery usage?
  • Very nice video. I myself have the hazel Pixel 8 256GB and I enjoy it. Overall its fast for my needs, love the color and design of this phone. Yes its a little thicc but thats OKAY, tbh it gives it more of a feeling like I have something valuable something with substance.

Great Review😉 The thing I am still not sure about is does it do a better job than the 7A as far as camera is concerned ? Asking because thinking of getting one of them soon

Pixel 7 user here, i love this phone and the camera but as someone in India where we use mobile data heavily and 5G is quite new, the heating and battery loss on mobile data is a big issue. Google needs to fix this soon as even my previous a52s 5g which was one of the initial batch of 5g phones was not this bad on 5g.

I recommend using 4G. Its as good if you are not doing downloads, then you can just switch to 5G for that period. I get about 7.5 hours SOT on 4G using casual apps, and that compares to 9 hours on wifi (Pixel 8 Pro). That compares well to rivals. As for heat, on 4G it is better, though not perfect, for example if you are also using the camera. I do not game on my phone so the Pixel is very usable for me especially as I live in the UK with a climate that will not push the Pixel's thermals. I recommend especially as pre-order deals made it a bargain after the trade-in.

I just bought one right now, 5 months prior to releasing the Pixel 9 series. Will still upgrade when it comes out!

I really enjoy my Pixel 8! Before I got it, I was a vivid Samsung user, but since the "Material You" UI I've been following the Pixel line-up. To the phone itself: it's great, but still has some issues that I wasn't familiar with. E.g. connectivity issues, whicht strangely only started to occur, once I turned my SIM into an eSIM. Since then it came to my attention that sometimes I don't have a 5G connection and had to re-connect. Also, the back glass is not that durable; I already broke that twice in the last few months. However, I really enjoy my time with the phone, as it is the most beautiful phone on the market imo. Additionally, I think more customization options are not per sé necessary as you already have more than enough options to make it feel like it's truly your phone. Also, the size is perfect for me, because I have smaller hands. What I wish to be better, is the night time mode of the camera, as under really low light the image noise is a little bit disappointing; other than that, the camera's amazing.

Pixel 8 owner coming from pixel 7... The phone is ok with the typical google hiccup here and there...being left out of major features due to "hardware limitations" upset me though. Not sure if i can recommend it to others

Im still using my Puxel 6 Pro. The only issues in my usage are mobile and wifi connectivity and a decrease in battery life which i believe haven't been resolved with the Pixel 8.

It was a screen response nightmare for me. Way to often it just wouldn't recognize touch. I got an refurbished Iphone 13 for a while after getting fed up with it, which I used till the S24 came out. I got an S24+ on launch, which I love.

im still using my pixel 7 pro xD cant bring myself to replace it as it's working just as well as it did since launch!
