Former Watergate prosecutor Nick Akerman warns Richard Nixon's abuses of power have created a dangerous blueprint for the next president. "The Justices totally ignored the entire history of Watergate in coming up with this crazy opinion," he says of the Supreme Court's immunity decision.

We as humans have made the mistake of giving our leaders absolute immunity before, believing that they would always do the right thing for us. Countless millions have been locked up, tortured and killed by leaders who turned against their own people, so we decided not to make that mistake again. This is why teaching history is so important.
