That local dimmer is a shocker! I cant believe LG gave it the ok...

Also, some warning about PBP, im not sure about this model, but sometimes when you use PBP, you have to make some compromises, sometimes it means you cant use hdr, sometimes you are restricted to certain frame rate, sometimes you cant use gsync or freesync, lots of unexpected problems that you wont know until you get one and its too late

That's a lot of cash for a monitor with so many issues. I can't imagine that's going to be a big seller, and if it is I wonder how many folks are going to be unhappy with it

These are $899 on LG's own website, and $850 on Amazon right now. I think LG knows they messed this one up.

Would have thought at this price they would have a couple of USBC ports that can output at least 90w

6:08 That is actually the window being translucent, the effect is called Mica. Because of the high (and wide) resolution, the blur is disproportionate to how it would usually look, so it looks like it's weird discoloration effects.

I find it hard to get excited by new non OLED monitors after using one for a couple of years. The only reason I would get one of these would be for work and there's better options for that.

I was wondering if I work with Photoshop or illustrator and I need to use lines, Do these ones look deformed. Because I've seen a lot of videos where people say that the lines start deforming and look curved

I have the same dimming issue on my LG 38WN95C. There is a setting hidden in the menus somewhere that allows you to tone it down, it does get pretty annoying tho
