"Nintendo working hand in hand with the community" was the reason you posted this on April 1st?
  • There’s a really neat fan version of Super Mario World called the “Just Keef Edition”. The main goal of the hack is to make Dinosaur Land feel more like… Dinosaur Land. The original version had very few dinosaur-themed enemies. Just Keef Edition adds tons of brand new dinosaurs that are taken from various sources such as the Super Mario World cartoon as well as the massive Nintendo gigaleak from a few years back. Not only this, but there are numerous graphical overhauls as well, such as making Bowser’s oddly green skin in the original, properly orange as depicted in his official art. It’s definitely my preferred method of playing Super Mario World nowadays.

Man, I know "Just Bad Games" is kind of the bread and butter of your channel nowadays, but it's refreshing to see a change of pace like this. Maybe one day we'll get some classic controller reviews back! ...I doubt it, but still, it'd be nice.

The funniest part of All Stars on the Wii is that digging through the source files reveals it to be identical to the version in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, down to the inclusion of the demo text. I don't think it was physically possible for Nintendo to be lazier with that release. Additionally, you can take the disc out of your wii while it's running and because it's an SNES game, the entire game will stay in your console's RAM and continue to be playable.

Why did John Rerez decided to dress up as SpongeBob for this video?

Nintendo: Here's a remake Gamers: We're not satisfied with the quality of this remake Nintendo: You hate remakes, got it.

You look like you'd give me financial compensation for an injury or crash.

Fan games will always come and go, they may never stop, even when Nintendo shuts them down.
  • I would personally love to see a Super Mario Allstars Advance. Imagine if we got HD versions of SMB 1, Lost Levels, 2, 3, World, and Yoshi Island with the features that subsequent ports like Allstars, SMB Deluxe, and the Advance series added. Maybe throw in the original NSMB in as well and add new content like new levels, bosses, and some power-ups and I think it’d be worth $50-60

Damn Shane really wrote the end of this like a genuine plea to Nintendo. Great speech at the end, I really hope they see this.

To be fair, 3D All Stars was a compilation of games that already had graphics that needed no changes; the only changes were updated UI Graphics. SM64 was the Shindou Version, so speedrunners weren't happy; but, Sunshine & Galaxy still look beautiful.

The one All-Stars port feels like an out-of-touch cash grab.
  • @Knighttt662
Ik other videos don't perform as well as Just Bad Games but I am glad you guys are still making some variety content

The fact that Nintendo could make so much more money if they listened and worked with fans instead of sue and DMCA them makes me sad considering all the talent and passion went into projects like these
