This is a can of bubble tea that I picked up in TK MAXX recently - I have never really been a fan of blob drinks in the past - will this one be an exception? I've got stuff being rebuilt in the house, so this episode is in the garden.

The choice of the table is not lost on me😅

What a brilliant character arc. The character growth in this show is amazing

I like the idea off the builders looking out the window at you and wondering what the hell is going on!

Needed shacking more well, I reckon.

"Precipitation may occur." Wow, drinking this can actually cause it to rain. This could solve droughts!

đŸ€Ł 2:36 Atomic Shrimp, sounding aggrieved, "Where are my blobs in my blob drink?...I want some blobs!...I'm disappointed if there aren't popping blobs in here." Thank you so much for making me giggle. No one else could have made this so amusing

The straw is what makes bubble tea enjoyable and quite fun. I don't drink it anymore just because there is so much sugar in it, but do remember it being a fun experience. Poping the lid when you get it from a proper shop is also fun.

I tend to prefer popping blobs to the chewy tapioca blobs, especially at the bubble tea places you see in big cities

So it smelt like bubblebath, looks like frogspawn, and has the colour of, well, lets say apple juice. How could i not buy this after that recommendation! 😂
  • What's next? "Remarkable... This pull tab on the can left quite the clean edge, this may be the day I retire my can-opener..." Haha

I love boba tea, it's like a fidget toy for your mouth.
  • @alchemander
Blob tea should be a shopping category on the next shopping challenge.

"Weird Stuff in a Can" is my comfort series. It's so nice and soothing. I vicariously enjoy the happiness about trying out new weird stuff in a can a lot, and it's just... pleasant. Exactly what I need sometimes, in a hectic world full of bad news.
  • "Looks like frog spawn" took me out! I very much dislike blob drinks, and always thought of them as fish eggs, but I like your description , more accurate. And hilarious! Thanks ,Mike, for sharing the ramble.

Stuck blobs? Time to deploy the can opener perhaps...

Glass straw. That’s a neat idea. Properly reusable and doesn’t break down after leaving it in your drink for longer than five minutes. I also don’t really like it when drinks give me a solid piece all of a sudden. Ice, boba balls, and pulp just make me go “Eugh. Nasty.” But maybe if I were to get a hold of this stuff maybe that will change! :)
  • The perfumey (sp?) type scent/flavor may actually be coming from the tea itself. I've had oolongs that were flowery.
