Nestled in Virginia, the Colonial Parkway stands as the historic road seamlessly linking Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Yorktown, spanning 22 miles under the watchful care of the National Park Service, it offers a captivating journey through the Virginia Peninsula. while the Parkway unveils its scenic charm by day, by night it transforms into an eerie, impenetrable expanse as parts of the highway are completely dark due to absence of Businesses or streetlights. Certain quiet sections of the roadway have become a favorite spot for young couples to park and share each others company without the watchful eyes of the general public.

Beyond its historical allure, the Parkway carries a somber legacy tied to a series of unsolved murders that transpired from October 1986 to September 1989. Along this compact and scenic route, at least 3 couples were murdered and one couple went missing. For three decades, the veil of mystery persisted until January 2024, marking a turning point in the Colonial Parkway Murders

I live here in York County and grew up here. I graduated in 1989 so between 1985 and 1988 we were hanging out on the parkway just about every weekend. It wasn't until 1988 when the Park Rangers started telling us we couldn't hang out there anymore. We could never understand why. It wasn't until years later that we found out about the murders.

My fiancée grew up in the Williamsburg area. One of the ladies who lost her life on the Colonial Parkway was in one of his classes. He graduated in 1985... as a young adult when these crimes took place the residents were warned to not visit the area after dark and couples to not go there to park. My fiancée worked at Busch Gardens and there were signs around the employee area with the same warnings. Thankfully one of the monsters was named as being guilty.. Love this channels content and the voice ❤
  • I can't be the only one who finds a grown ass man and a 14 yr old child parked in a lover's lane.

I absolutely LOVE when it’s this narrator doing the stories. Love her voice

I don't know why but I'm obsessed with these murders. There's something so creepy about the Colonial Parkway and the fact that it's relatively remote and unlit at night. Perfect for someone who is looking to commit murder undetected

Fabulous video!!! You guys are top notch with stories, format and telling the stories of such heartbreaking lives. Keep it up!!
  • I was looking this up recently but couldn't find a decent video on the subject. Thanks for covering it!

Sickening that he lived a full life, but at least he passed away alone and unloved. Small consolation.

0:03 - What a small world. I walked and drove along that road, and went under that bridge, when I was in Virginia 3 months ago! As soon as I saw it I knew I recognised it. Irrelevant I know, but just a strange coincidence.

I've seen several videos on these murders, but this is the first time I've heard about the bit about David's radio being routed into the battery or the cars potentially being driven 😯 Glad they solved at least 3 murders!

I’ve been watching your channel for along time, and I just gotta say the production quality these days has been incredible. I love to see this channel thriving

I live here in Williamsburg, we still talk about this, it really scared us in the local community. The pull offs on the parkway where these people were killed is still closed off.
  • Living 20 feet away from the parkway makes me so happy to finally see people talking about this! The cut outs where people were k*lled are still the only ones that are closed from dusk till dawn
  • @AlexandriaTucker
such a sad case, when you think about all the wasted human potential in both criminal and victim. thank you for watching, and constant vigilance!

How does this not have more views or comments? I love these videos because of the content, the format, and the visuals! I went to William and Mary for undergrad and the parkway is so pretty. I'm surprise didn't know about the killings while I lived there.
  • @langly27
Word, as someone local to this, I'm excited to watch!

Could you cover the murder of Marissa Shen in Burnaby Canada? She was a 13 year old girl brutally raped and murdered. The suspect has been identified but has yet to go to court.
